  1. I'll say the offense gets to Padilla tonight including a 2-run shot from JD Drew
  2. If given the chance, you wouldnt replace Tavarez with Roger Clemens?
  3. Whats up with the Yankees and hamstring injuries this year? Wang, Matsui, and also Damon who was/is maybe still dealing with a sore hamstring
  4. Whats key for this series is for the starters to give this pen a rest. 1-5 each didnt last for more than 5 innings
  5. oh thank god, no comeback
  6. The 2004 team wasnt a "loaded" team until they filled in the necessary pieces on the day of the trading deadline. From there, they took off like a shot out of a cannon. Moves can and will be be made. Its just the question is, can Theo pull off the same magic?
  7. I thought yahoo! sports was having a glitch when i saw his picture in the game's box score, huh ok. Makes sense considering the starters through the first 5 games havent been able to pitch decent ammount of innings. Through 4 games the bullpen already has had to work 18.2 innings
  8. Please tell me Im reading this wrong... Paul Bako, the same Bako who last year hit .209 with 10 RBIs... hit a clutch 3 run HR to put the O's on top? His last homerun was back in 2004 when he was with the Cubs. Well the first run though of the 1-5 Yankees starters hasnt been all that grand, who knows if they didnt have a lights out bullpen
  9. Arod for 2007 MVP... yea I said it
  10. Lester still has 3 starts to go for Single A Greenville. After which they'll send him up to Pawtucket. I dont want to rush the kid, and just hope the Sox are able to swing a deal for a serviceable stop gap starter or someone like Hansack shows enough moxie to hold that 5th spot down
  11. I guess he's focusing on the soxprospects.com website. I think he just grew tired with everyone not on the same wavelength as him
  12. Alex Cora will get the start at 2nd over Pedroia tonight, his good stats vs Padilla helped that decision
  13. Maybe he should lose the shades? I cant remember the last time, if at all, Ive seen a starting pitcher wear sunglasses.
  14. http://www.soxprospects.com
  15. Being healthy has been the main stichler thats been holding Phillips back from breaking out soxprospects.com
  16. Little Paps is in Single-A Greenville to start the year off 1 appearance-- 0.00 ERA 2 innings, 1 Hit, 1 Walk
  17. http://washingtontimes.com/sports/20070406-124136-1222r.htm Not sure where Roto got their information, the Redskins would actually be open to giving up their #6 pick in the 1st round for Samuel. That would give the Pats 3 picks in the 1st round. The Jets and Browns are also interested
  18. Jack, you forgot to mention Drew is on a hot start to his Red Sox career. I believe 7 for 19 in his first 5 games. Have you seen all 5 games? He's hitten the ball deep several times, you make it warmer temperature and those are gone. The homeruns will come, its just unsettling that Youkilis has the only Sox bigfly in the 1st 5 games. Maybe they just need some good homefield advantage to kick start things. Hell cmon look at the guys Seattle is trotting out (Batista, Ramirez, Weaver) And about Romero, Im sure even Torre wouldnt have allowed him to give up 5 straight hits. Let alone keep leaving him in against righties. His best use is a specialist but Tito I believe is making him one of his "favorites" to use a lot
  19. No but Wily Mo Pena can. Say you what you want about him, but right now I trust him more to produce than "2 for 17" Crisp
  20. Julian Tavarez stumbled out of the gate lasting 4 innings, giving up 4 runs and walking 5 in the process. Drew misplayed a ball that gave Young a 2 run **inside the parker. Tito pulled another brain fart and left JC Romero in until he had given up his 5th straight hit with no outs recorded. Oh and the offense is still in sleep mode (Sorry 4 sentences) Rooter mojo tomorrow for Curt to avoid the sweep?
  21. True then pitchers would have to worry about situations with Lugo on 1st/Coco on 2nd
