s***, 10 Ks? I know he's not one to get that every time out but still great to hear. With Tito's affection for Tavarez, how much longer will he remain in the rotation?
April remaing starts
Angels
Blue Jays
Blue Jays
Yankees
Just like in ST, they cant send him down because he has no options remaining. The Sox & Tito have a strong feeling for this guy so thus far dont want to risk losing him in the waivers
I think Romero is this year's Seanez & Tavarez, both of whom were Tito's pets. He'll throw them out there even if he knws theyre doing bad
EDIT: Donnelly has held righties to a .212 avg over the last 5 seasons but of course he's just coming in now
I knew right from the start from Tito in ST Regardless righties hit .382 off of him last year
I questioned the change for Romero, Teixeira is a switch so he can hit righties and Sosa is a righty. I'll say it again, Romero has to strictly be a lefty specialist
I knew that shot was gone when Sammy was jumping around
Phew! great work by lopez pitching out of trouble after the leadoff triple. He'll still probably get sent down when Timlin comes up. He still has options left, Kyle Snyder doesnt and they need someone to be the long innings guy
and this is the last inning for Tavarez. He's approaching the 100 pitch count mark in the 4th inning. Javier Lopez is warming up in the pen. Runs next inning please
Curt Schilling has proven track record, Igawa does not in the states. Schilling's fastball topped out at 93/94 in his first start, Igawa's topped out at what 88? Id say there's a good chance Schilling still comes out on top with the better season
4 straight have reached base, now blalock up with 2 men on 2 out
Tavarez you want to make it a 5-2 game? First pitch to Blalock, a high sinker... its supposed to be down I think...
No I dont think all teams will be beat like they did, but I also dont think I need to start worrying he's going to have a year like Beckett had last year. "Cmon now"
Lets see Wakefield went 6 inninings and gave up 2 runs (1 ER), he ended his outing by retiring 11 straight, and 12 out of the last 15. Moose gave up 6 runs in 4 innings, accept that your starter blew the game... again
Not today's lineup, just suited up how I think would be work best vs Millwood. EDIT: The lineup has been announced and its the same as before. Eric Hinske (who's had good success against Millwood) and Wily Mo Pena will let the cobwebs continue to collect. Hey Tito, so uh youre going to give Wily Mo 400 ABs huh?
