  1. Oh Rooter... you didnt know? Jackson has been stating during this offseason that Igawa will be an innings machine and finish with around 200 innings. Jacko did you mean for this season, or the entire length of contract?
  2. only at certain moments that is...
  3. Jackson... Id rather have a cold offense to start the season, than bad pitching to start the season off. The Red Sox true have made 4 errors but only one of those have been allowed to come around & score. Its not like everyone up & down is tanking. Theyre still playing in like 35-50 degree weather, as it gets warmer so will this lineup's
  4. This offense also scored 11 runs the last 2 games before today so call me as one who's not "Chicken Little" and starting to fret about chances for October. Remind me again when theyre not just 4 games into the season About Millwood, looking at the matchups, just about every Sox batter has had good success against Millwood. I look forward to what they can bring to the table tomorrow night
  5. rather where was he to pinch hit for mirabelli with coco on 2nd and 2 outs in the 7th inning
  6. what a coincidence, the guy to end the game, let alone first pitch swinging... Coco Crisp
  7. Another thing about Tito in this game... Lugo & Crisp both are getting on base, its a tight game where the offense is doing jack squat, why dont you send them to steal?
  8. I believe he was commenting on when Dusty has 2 strikes on him, not outs. Common for most rookies, something he can work on while he progresses
  9. These guys dont even deserve to look over at Wakefield if they lose
  10. Sox had chance to do a Delcarmen, Lowell, Tavarez trade for Helton... but Theo held back because of the young "talent" in Delcarmen. Colorado called the talks dead once Theo wouldnt comply. Wakefield crusing through 11 batters, here comes a win! Oh wait no these are the Sox's off days for offense EDIT: Yep haha Drew makes a 1st pitch out on Tejada in the 7th, 68 pitches
  11. 10 pitch inning, 67 through 6... give him the complete game while youre at it
  12. Could you guys give Wake some god damn run support? The poor guy has been s*** on by the Sox bats too many times Id like to count
  13. Way to work the count boys... clap clap clap 8 pitch inning in the 3rd, 29 pitches so far
  14. Good comparison from NESN about this year's bullpen. Last season in the first series the Sox bullpen already had a 4.32 ERA. This year's pen has allowed 2 runs in 10 innings, a 1.80 ERA. They have also just allowed 6 hits in that span, no walks and striking out 8
  15. Thanks "Schill". I just hope Wake's knuckleball does enough: 5-7 innings, 3 runs (maybe 4) or less and also hope that the Sox bats wake up and give him some rare run support. Since 2005 that is what has hurt him getting the W's
  16. Bingo Bosox. In the minors his fastball range has been 92-95, sometimes he did throw harder ones if he needed to get a crucial out. When he got called up to the majors, it was sitting in the 89-92 range. That might have been some effect from being sick
  17. What I like to hear http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=Ar_5wig5jr0fmFcnLzJ5UkoRvLYF?slug=ap-redsox-lester&prov=ap&type=lgns Lester started opening day for the Single A Greenville drive against the Yankees' affiliate team. He went 4 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits, striking out 5 while walking just 1. At one time the scoreboard flashhed 96 mph. He'll make 3 more starts for Greenville
  18. Damn, lets get some control for these Yankee boys... in the first 2 games theyve committed 6 errors, and from last nights game threw 3 wild pitches & 1 passed ball
  19. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid=270405110&page=boxscore&refresh=0 Currently in the 7th inning the D-Rays are leading 6-4. After Pavano started game 1 and managed 4.1 innings... the $16 million man Pettitte went 4 innings in game 2. He, like Pavano, wasnt helped by the Yankees' shoddy defense as theyve commited their 2nd straight 3 error game. Those errors coming from Mientkiewicz and 2 from Jeter (3 overall). Elijah Dukes has hit his 2nd homerun in as many games
  20. So um does a search party need to get formed? Gom, Jacko, where are you guys? Last seen before yesterday's game started... coincidence?
  21. Im calling it, first Boston rookie of the year since Nomar
  22. Whoops I was thinking of different player, 4th round
