  1. They should have gone wildcat formation. I'd have done a designed pass play out of that formation, personally.
  2. Can anybody explain that playcalling?
  3. I actually liked the decision. It's about time somebody other than Shanahan showed some balls in this league. Herm's got nothing to lose... gonna be fired anyway. That said... the Chiefs odds of winning the coin toss were 50%, the same as their odds of converting that play. I'd put their odds of winning in OT, regardless of whether they won or loss the toss, at about 25%.
  4. I would tend to think it's the coach. When they won that game over the Patriots using the wildcat formation, it seemed to light a fire under the team. I don't think they were a 1-15 football team last year -- I mean, technically they were, obviously, but they lost some close ones. Cam Cameron just made for a s***** head coach. This is such a crazy league... it's impossible to tell who's good. Not too long ago the Bills looked like a good team, and the Jets and Pats looked like s***... now? Other way around. And you can say the same about a lot of teams.
  5. That defense of theirs is amazing, and you can count on Kerry Collins not to lose football games -- and he's capable of carrying the team to a win every once in a while, like today. They've only given up 21 points once, and that was thanks to a garbage time TD against the Colts. Being able to win football games when your strength, offensively at least, is neutralized/eliminated is the sign of a good football team.
  6. Yeah, yet Favre's only got me 7 points in fantasy... what the f***? Titans winning in Chicago... I think they're for real.
  7. Could Texas Tech possibly jump Alabama after this? They should. Then again, I've made my thoughts on Alabama known. Texas Tech's offense is insane. Jesus... 42-20
  8. Yeah, they sure can score points. I'd like to see them win it all, though I wouldn't be too disappointed if Oklahoma did instead.
  9. I think Florida would beat them by 10 or so. They just don't strike me as being that good of a football team. Not the best team, anyway. I think any of the top 4 in the Big XII would beat them. This isn't that good of an LSU team... you saw what Florida did to them. 'Bama barely beat them with LSU's QB trying to give the game away.
  10. I'm still not sold on Alabama. I think Florida wins the SEC, and I think they'll beat Alabama pretty handily.
  11. Yes, because on a team with AI, Rip hamilton, and Sheed (hell, and Tayshaun), they're going to be focused on Rodney Stuckey.
  12. If they didn't have Rodney Stuckey I might agree, but he's going to be a very good PG for them.
  13. Awful deal for the present, maybe. But it sets the Pistons up awful nicely when 'Sheed and AI come off of the books. I think it's a good deal for the Pistons, a great, great deal for the Nuggets. Opens the floor up for 'Melo, who'll get the ball quicker in possessions. My one prediction has been proven correct... I said in the Predictions thread that my only prediction is that AI doesn't finish the year in Denver. Go me!
  14. And by the way, McDyess isn't going to be a Nugget. He was only thrown in to make the deal work. He'll either negotiate a buyout and go back to the Pistons or retire, I think.
  15. Great trade for the future for the Pistons. I didn't see them winning the East this year anyway. Either Stuckey or Hamilton will go to the bench. Great trade for the Nuggets, as well. No more Anthony Carter starting at PG, JR Smith can start now.
  16. Iverson to the Pistons. Billups to the Nuggets. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3679931
  17. The Broncos suck. I was under the impression that when the Broncos traded for Dre Bly, he was capable of covering people. How'd the man ever make the Pro Bowl? edit: terrible offensive PI call negates a long TD by Marshall. f***.
  18. Titans hit the upright on the gamewinning FG attempt. Why didn't the Titans get him to the centere of the field for that kick? edit: Titans win.
  19. "Beautiful Day" by U2 while they were raising the banner to the rafters. I just really hate U2...
  20. I believe the Red Sox only wore the uniforms for the ring ceremony, and wore their regular home uniforms with a patch on the sleeve for the game itself. I think. Nice little touch, I think. The rings are beautiful, by the way. edit: A great moment ruined by a s***** U2 song...
