  1. Im at the stadium, and refreshing StubHub shows that the remaining Monster ticket has dropped from 175 to 89 dollars.
  2. I won't get kicked out of the seat if my ticket doesn't match? I'm here in SRO right now and the guy has checked my ticket twice already along with everyone else's
  3. I've never done it before, I'm excited about it. The only downside is that my family is going home tonight and the last Greyhound leaves at 10. So unless I want to leave the game early (I don't!), I have to hang around and find something to do in Boston from about 1030 or 11 until 5 or 6.
  4. Decided since the tickets for SRO are so much cheaper than I thought they would be, I'm going to go again tonight!
  5. I hope I am the other one!
  6. f*** the wave, seriously.
  7. Having fun so far guys! My sister called Hanley's HR about five seconds before he hit it, so you can thank her for that!
  8. YOTN at the game mojo! My father is at Brigham And Womens (and what is with that name?) Hospital being evaluated for the transplant list. We can't be with him for most of the medical tests, so we have most of a day to kill. We were wondering what to do, and then my stepsister and I decided to check online for tickets, and surprisingly were able to get them! So despite being here in Boston for a s***** reason, I get to see the Sox game.
  9. This is a great position for the Sox to be in at the beginning of this series. One game up means even going 1-2 leaves you tied. Anything but a sweep keeps the Sox at least with a share of first place.
  10. It's nice to see the Sox beat up on anyone named Clemens.
  11. Clay left with a bit of a jam on the bases, but all in all a good job from him tonight.
  12. Brian Dozier is at 39 home runs. The Twins haven't had a 40 HR season since 1970. Everyone except them and the Pirates (1973) and Royals (never) has had at least one since 2000. That's a long time to go without a good mashing season from at least one guy.
  13. "Not embarrassing" at the easiest (relatively speaking) fielding position does not make someone a great fielder. SC30 is right, keeping Ortiz on the bench in NL parks is the right move. Putting him in the field might result in a few more HRs or RBIs and maybe, maybe might even make the difference in one game, but it drastically increases the chances of losing Papi for far more games, and that tradeoff is not worth it in any way.
  14. I'm not going to delete this thread immediately. Given the fact that you have only 5 posts despite joining last year, I would assume that you have not read the new announcements from the last several months. Every "point" you raised in your initial post could easily have been (and is) being discussed in other threads on this forum, all of which are very active. There was really no need to create a new thread at the top of the page to complain about Kimbrel and Farrell. There is a Farrell thread directly underneath this one, and you didn't exactly lead off with a specific topic beyond "Farrell doesn't know what he's doing". I'm going to close this thread and I encourage you to repeat and expand upon your opinions in those other threads. I don't want you to feel as if your contributions are not welcome. Thanks!
  15. So, how'd that work out for you, champ?
  16. For me it goes Sox, Pirates, Rockies, everyone else, World Series cancelled due to weather, World Series cancelled due to alien invasion, Cardinals, World Series cancelled due to complete destruction of the planet and extinction of the human race, Yankees.
  17. The Sox have played five games against the A's so far this season and have scored double digits in all of them. That's horrific. (For the A's fans, I mean).
  18. It wouldn't be so surprising, though. It's happened way too many times before. Even the best regular season doesn't guarantee a WS win. Hell, look at the 2001 (or was it 2002?) Mariners. I would like to see the Cubs win one of these days, but I'd rather not have it be this year. After this regular season their damned fans would just be way too smug about it.
  19. I can't delete the first GT and I can't close yesterday's. I'm getting some sort of weird error message when I try to use the Mod Control Panel.
  20. Moncada is being called up for Friday's game, thought it was time to move this here. Is anyone excited?
