  1. I would argue with you to the death on tha statement...if it wasnt so late and I wasnt so tired. But thats ludicrous to say that hes been "one of the worst pitching coaches". I think its pretty reasonable to say that he is better than Wallace. um...he didnt f*** up Jeff Weaver. What f***ed up Jeff Weaver is that hes a little surfer boy from the sunny shores of Southern California and was scared shitless in the biggest urban environtment on the face of the earth. He was probably thinking "I think im going to sleep here tonight, I dont want to walk out of the stadium and get shot on my way to the car." Some guys cant play in NY, some can..that was the case with Weaver. __-__-__-__-__-__-__- IM sad to see Mel go, but this isnt a surprise as he declared before the season that this would be it for him. His likely successors are Joe Kerrigan and Neil Allen. Good point made earlier regarding the fact that Joe has lost both Zim and Mel now.
  2. woahh...i didnt hear about this, what happened with Hawk and Marriotti?
  3. I dont know if thats the case with cable, but on DirecTV, with Extra innings, you get the NESN feed, as WGN is a provided basic network. But note, that WGN is not the primary network for the White Sox, they only broadcast occasionally on WGN, they mainly use Comcast Sports Net Chicago. Also, usually the feed used for Extra Innings is that of the home team (if available).
  4. Michael Kay is my hero ...no lie, im dead serious
  5. I wouldnt go that far...and I wouldnt mind getting rid of him too (im in my Steinbrenner mode since last night...dont be alarmed, ill only be like thins another week or so)
  6. i was thinking the exact same thing earlier
  7. from what I heard, Cashman and Vlad had a deal, then George went with Sheffield.
  8. absolutely, George wanted Sheffield over Vlad, which I cant get too mad about considering all the talk here in NY regarding his back (the whole thing with the mets) and Sheff has been a powerhouse for us.
  9. I would sign for that in a f***in half a heartbeat..unless Wright agrees to work out of the pen for us, despite the big contract I think he has the perfect bullpen arm.
  10. its still early so ill wait until after the World Series to make all of my predictions on who will be on the 2006 roster. I dont like Pierre, I would not mind Damon (for 2 or 3), trading for Cam, or getting Hunter. Though I would prefer one of the first teo I mentioned, because you all know im a huge Melky fan and want him to be the everyday CFer in a few years (not going to happen with Hunter in there). But dont get me wrong, I would be very saitsfied with Hunter. No way we get both Wagner and Ryan, I would be somewhat surprised if we get one of them. Wagner I doubt will take a setup role and Ryan is still up in the air. Embree is definately gone, I think Al Leiter retires to the YES booth with his good pal Kichael Kay. I wouldnt mind having Andy Phillips take the backup infielder role, and maybe even teach him some outfield in spring training, which would make him the most versatile player on the team. I want Tino back (only if Joe is back, if Joe's gone I want him to sign with another team then all of the "Yankees" such as Jeter, Rivera, Bernie, Posada, etc.. demand trades to that team and I will automatically root for that team.) I wouldnt mind having Womack back, though I have a better chance of making the Yankees next year than Womack being brought back. Reason I like Womack is because hes super quick, when in there everyday he can hit sometimes, hes versatile as he can play all 3 outfield positions and the middle infield. But if they get rid of him I would want to keep Lawton or bring in Rickey Ledee for old-time's sake. I wouldnt be super surprised if the Yankees trade Posada. I owuld be very happy with what Arod proposed with getting Ramon Hernandez to catch. I also recently read a thing in one of the papers regarding Molina possibly coming to New York (the big talk is for him to come to the mets, but the Yankees were also mentioned in the article). If thats the case, him and posada can platood between catcher and DH. The one thing I DO NOT like about that is that we would have to carry 3 catcher-only players (players who can do noting but catch, even though in emergencys Posada can play 2nd and Flaherty can play 1st) and the fact that we pretty much lose the DH spot for Bernie, Sierra, or whoever. Last year I was a mad-man in the offseason, I knew every roster move as it happened, I could tell you when a no-name veteran, over the hill guy signed a minor league contract with someone. thats how crazy I was, like I could have been a reporter last winter, I dont anticipate doing that this year, im just too drained. (Though I will follow super closely on a daily basis, im just not going to spend every second of every day exploring the hot stove) Go Astros!
  11. exactly what you said
  12. this isnt a time to be sarcastic, a man is dieing
  13. Vic stop f***ing with me, you hate the Angels
  14. man...f*** VLADIMIR!
  15. im just posting this pic because i thought it was hilarious and want everybody to get a chance to see it (i posted it on the previous page but i doubt that majority of you guys are going to go to prior pages) this is in response to steve calling me a troll http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/4535/metrol9zr.jpg
  16. The roger quote is to show how he was treated like s*** by the Red Sox. And Zach hit it right on the head, the Yankee boards blow and are filled with frontrunning **********s. Dont f*** with me tonight man, in case you didnt notice by my ranting in the other thread, im extremely pissed off
  17. im with you man.....im a f***ing sore loser and proud, i dont give a s***, this is a team that was supposed to go 161-1 and win 11 straight in the postseason. f*** THIS s***
  18. bro trust me, the Joe Torre era is DONE
  19. here's another thing...I hope George and Cashman, and all of those assclowns in Tampa are happy with the team they put together. This was supposed to murderers row 2000. Instead everyone got hurt, we brought in a bunch of guys who werent supposed to be here, our pitching sucked, Randy johnson sucked, Jaret Wright sucked, Carl Pavano sucked, Kevin Brown sucked, Paul Quantrill sucked, Felix Rodriguez sucked, Sean Henn sucked, f*** them all. And you know what, im pretty f***in tired of A-Rod too...get this f***in ******* out of here. HOW DARE HIM ground into a double play in the 9th inning. HOW DARE HIM make an error in game 2, HOW DARE HIM NOT CARRY THIS TEAM ON HIS BACK LIKE A PLAYER GETTING PAID $25 MILLION A YEAR SHOULD. s***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. yeah, and so does your mom
  21. wow...i dont even know where to begin...first let me tell you about my night: im pretty supersticious with baseball so after they scored the fifth i went out to the car and listened to a few innings on the radio, then after tha Cano thing i went back in the house and watched the rest of the game, except i muted the TV and went digging in my closet for a CD I made back during the dynasty run with a bunch of Yankee-related songs and a bunch of Yankee radio calls (perfect game, world series win, world series homers, frank sinatra New York New York, etc, etc, etc...)and just listened to that, took off the shirt i was wearing all day and put on my '51 DiMaggio jersey and just sat still for the rest of the game (right after I put it on Jeter homered so i stuck with it) then in the 9th i turned on the radio in the house to Listen to Sterling....looks like my Wade Boggs-ism didnt pay off... I am very disappointed at some of the deciscions that were made, like not bringin in Wang, not getting Moose out earlier, like not letting Leiter pitch to Erstad so tht Johnson could have a chance to start the next inning rather than come in during the inning, like not using Mo rather than Gordon (it didnt really matter, and Gordon was fantastic)....just a bunch of little things Torre did all series long. Bottom line is that this game shoukdnt have even been played, we should have won either game 2 or 3, but we didnt. And another thing, you guys all know how much I love Torre, but if the Yankees sign Johnny Damon, then Andy Phillips needs to find a new number because I predict number 14 will be occupied by a guy named Piniella next year. (I say if we sign Damon because if we dont, Phillips just takes his number 18 back after Crosby switches back to 19 after Leiter retires) THIS f***ING BLOWS ------------------------------- as a baseball fan im excited about the ALCS because it is going to be a great series, but as a Yakee fan im absolutely misreble. Go Astros! Also, you guys might be right about Giambi and juice, but if he does have juice, hes not using it by injecting himself with it, hes putting it in his hair, im getting really tired of Giambi's long greasy hair. If he doesnt come into spring training with a f***ing haircut im going down to Tampa and im going to personally shave his f***ing head. I dont usually wish bad things on people, but right now i would definately be in favor of Frankie Rodriguez waking up with a REALLY soar back, same for that jerkoff Ervin Santana. f*** the ANGELS!!! .........ok sorry guys, im just venting...be happy i didnt post here last year as I was 1000x worse.
  22. Ha...I predicted it! (not on here, but with a friend earlier today..wonder who gets taken off the roster, probably Embree)
  23. Knicks Got: Eddy Curry Antonio Davis (who will be waived and likely end up back with the Bulls) Bulls Got: Tim Thomas Jermaine Jackson Mike Sweetney And somebody else I believe, dont know who off the top of my head Also I think there were some draft picks involved.
  24. I would like to see this move. Being a Knicks fan it would be nice to get Pierce out of the division. And being the Clippers fan that I am (yes, I do root for the Clips as my Western Conference team) it would be great to get Pierce out there. Despite the fact that I like Maggette very much, I say go for it Clips.
  25. thanks, I knew it was one of them (They both got the R thing going).
