  1. Isnt Klesko going to be playing first for them though?
  2. Hes played his entire career with the Twins. Big husky guy. PLays the corners and catcher. Why? http://img486.imageshack.us/img486/5287/lecroy5kt.jpg
  3. haha those Orioles fans are riduculous
  4. Nope
  5. Yea but that was on estart, give the guy a break. Nobody said he was going to be in the White SOx rotation or anything, just an insurance policy or something. Guy could get called up in May after numerous injuries to the rotation and be outstanding, who knows.
  6. Read something about it earlier. Happy to have him out of the division.
  7. Thanks, I hadnt heard that. But wanting an extension and wanting someone to pick up an option are two different things, perhaps whoever reported he wanted an extension was mistaken or something...who knows.
  8. I doubt it is true..its coming from a message board. Also, doesnt Manny have a couple years left on his current contract, why would he need an extension.
  9. I find it hard to believe that the forst World Series hit by a National Leaguer came against the Yankees, who didnt play in their first World Series until 1921. Are you seriously going to tell me with a straight face that every world series game until 1921 was a no hitter in the favor of the American League representitive. I really think I misunderstood the question or you mis-typed it.
  10. Reggie Bush will look pretty good in that Texans jersey. (One of my favorite jerseys in football)
  11. Zach Duke will be good, but still has a lot to prove. He is not on the same level as Felix though.
  12. Clete and Kenny Boyer, 1964, cardinals...I believe that is the right answer. I know Clete's brother Ken was athird baseman for the cardinals, so this is what came to mind ...I like answering your trivia questions and all, but I didnt like the initial post and everything. Qestioning us as to our knowledge isnt fair, especially when millions (including several on this board) have just recently in the past few years jumped on the Boston bandwagon.
  13. I didnt get excited or anything, I was just frustrated with the fact that you didnt read the rest of my post, stating that he has been pretty bad since coming to America.
  14. Relax pal Absolutely, a guy like So Taguchi has become a pretty respectable player here, but Norihiro Nakamura did ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE last year. But in Japan, So Taguchi wasnt good enough to even sniff Nakamura's jockstrap. So it depends on the player and how they adjust. Same with pitching (but the rate of successful pitchers coming over is far greater than that of offensive players) You have guys like Kaz Sasaki who do good here and you have guys like Masao Kida the guy who pitched for the Mets a few years ago (not Masato Yoshii, im thinkinf of somebody else, forget his name at the moment.) who do pretty bad.
  15. I was GLUED to the TV last year when he was pitching against Toronto up at Rogers Centre, where he had the perfect game through 7, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
  16. Kaz, throughout his career has been a MUCH better offensive player. But since coming to America hes struggled, though he did get off to a nice start back in 2004. I think he is a risk worth taking.
  17. Theres definately some injury issues with Wang from a few years back, but the last few years he's been ok. Except with the exception of last year when he went on the DL in July, but I believe that was unrelated to his older injuries sustained in the Minors. I have confidence that he will be fine.
  18. I love watching Felix Hernandez pitch. I was hooked last year, watched all of his starts.
  19. haha I didnt know what it was either...but i definatey didnt think it was a manatee
  20. Ace's dont necesarily have to be power pitchers, but I understand where you are coming from. My point was that he will be atop the Yankees rotation for a long time, whether it be as the number 1, or the number 2 behind Hughes, or the number 3 behind Hughes and whoever else, point is that he looks to be a solid Major League starter if he can just keep it up.
  21. If you ask me, I just hate listening to people bash our system based on what some guys on ESPN say. Scouts arent always right. We couldnt GIVE Cano away before last year, now he is our second baseme of the future. After Wang got hurt a couple years back, nobody thought he would be good again, and here he possibly the future ace of the staff. Point being you never know what you have down there. All I know is that all of our affiliates are always competitive and conteding in their respective leagues (except the 2004 Staten Island Yankees, but dont get me started on that , glad we got Tommy John out of there and got Stankiewicz back in there.) and thats what matters to me. Having players who know how to win.
  22. trust me guys, I know the organization isnt falling apart, it was an exaggeration. But there is no denying that they are not in the best of shape up there in Boston, but far from falling apart.
  23. Willie Harris has been close to signing with the Rockies going on 2 weeks (feels like 2 years) now. Nothin new there. I wish they would just get it done already so I dont have to hear about it anymore.
  24. Anyone know of a site where you can get minor league FIELDING statistics. Every site I go to only offers Offensive and pitching stats. Also if you know of a site that tells you every position that the player has played that would be very helpful.
