I wouldn't say that the Knicks absolutely suck, they just are WAY too deep at the guard position with Starbury, Q-Rich (YOU CROOKS!!!!!), Crawford, Robinson, and more. James was a nice addition for them especially if he plays like he did in the playoffs last season, but Yankshater is right, they need another (good) big man, and if they get one, they COULD compete for the division. Frye is too young to tell if he is the answer, but the Knicks irritated me when they stole Richardson and Robinson from my boys for Kurt Thomas :rant:

Well I know this was a huge series and am very upset we lost 3 of 4, but take a look at the calendar...its July 18th! Riverside sluggers is right lot of baseball left in the regular season and anything can happen, thats why they play the games

A split is very possible, and I think alot rides on tonights game because if we win tonights game, I can see us winning 3 out of 4 (with the loss being against Johnson). If we lose tonights game, that could give momentum to them and then we could lose 3 out of 4. We can't take May and Redding too lightly. We have to pound those two... Tonights a huge game in regards to this series, just my opinion though

OK GOSH...It just seemed to me that he could have used different words (like ones that aren't used when someone NORMALLY wants to stir up trouble) to describe how Papi's performance was. Maybe he was complimenting him.....but Im not convinved -
I heard a qoute from A-rod on ESPN today about Papi's postseason performance... Saying he was always a good hitter in Minnesota but he got better in the Post-season... He mentioned something like "everytime he was up he seemed to hit a homer..." (not exact qoute but close enough) and he used words like "Bizzare" and "Weird" to describe his performances....... In MY eyes, this is A-Rod doing 1 of 2 things 1) Accusing Papi of taking steroids 2) Being jealous of Papi coming through in the big game and him not having a ring yet What do you guys think???

Dont you mean close record wise, because last time I checked, the NL and AL had different standings...but thats besides the point...I have no prob with Sheffield except for his attitude, his "restraint" (see Cliff Floyd for an ACTUAL restraint), him using Steroids, the way he acts tough and does nothing...oh wait all this would make it seem like I hate him I do...but I respect him as a hitter and know that hes a tough out for Red Sox pitching and is a homerun threat just like A-Rod. But I certainly do NOT have to like either one of them, and I dont... :harhar:

**Recovers after Youk's comments** Now, I don't know about anyone else, but when I read that ^ all I read is Yankee baisedness. This is by no means me saying that Derek Jeter is not a good player, I'm not saying this at all, I know hes a top 5 SS in the League today but ALREADY A HALL OF FAMER....... HOW????? :dunno: I mean besides being on the most productive franchise in sports and being in the media capital of the world, what has he done to be a hall of famer??? I mean nice defensive plays...good average...alright power...he's clutch, yeah but I mean if it wasn't for him being in New York...is he even an All-Star during one of his better years??? :dunno:

All of Millars fans seem to keep mentioning his loose personality, and I agree he does have a good clubhouse presence...but by the way you guys are saying it, you make it seem like hes the ONLY ONE with a good clubhouse presence, but hes not. Manny and Ortiz have great personalities and contribute alot to the looseness of the Boston Red Sox, so I'd say thats a invalid argument. Its not like they would become like the Yankees without Kevin Millar...

So are you saying that Millar is the face of the RED SOX????? And what does "without hope skill means nothing" mean??? Are you saying hes the only one who has any faith in this team? I think the Red Sox would be fine without him...like someone said Manny and Papi keep the team loose, I don't think the red Sox winning the division, pennant, or world series hinges on Kevin Millar being on the team or not
