  1. IMO, We would have to give them (Giants) for Jason Schmidt... Bronson Arroyo Jay Payton (they need an outfielder, and he WOULD play everyday...I think a position is open in LF...) Prob another reliever...(throw Embree in the mix with another maybe) and maybe cash....DUNNO :dunno: Hes a GREAT pitcher, but it (if that rumor is true) may cost us ALOT, but DEPENDING on what we would have to give them, I wouldnt mind seeing Schmidt in a Sox uniform
  2. Couldnt have said it better myself
  3. The last guy has a point, he (McLane) doesnt want to see that happen again, but I would rather see him to go Texas than New York...or even better, stay in Houston, but thats just me And I dont see him coming to the Red Sox, were loaded with starting pitching, but again thats just me, I could be wrong
  4. Dish Manny? WHAT A JOKE! Hes a great hitter and him and Papi back to back is great, and in my opinion irreplaceable. OH, BTW...you mentioned Texas with dishing A-rod, Manny's not an ass like A-rod...it seems like A-rod is a team cancer, and from what I see, Manny is not.
  5. DONT start with Renteria if you dont want people slamming Bellhorn, last time I checked Renteria has MUCH better stats, so don't start slamming Renteria OR Manny
  6. Maybe by the time he returns...our offense will be clicking on all cylinders (well hopefully all cough2Bcough) but at least enough that if he isnt superman like he was last year, we will give him enough run support to pile up victories for the Sox
  7. Rent, Ive been in his corner since we've signed him... I was just saying that those who seem to try to compare Bellhorn to Rent are nuts and that his numbers are far superior to Bellhorn's and that NOBODY should compare those two (or Manny and Bellhorn), because its not even close. But I LOVE Rent, Im glad hes playing well
  8. YEAH... Did anyone see todays ESPN's daily sports shows (PTI, Sportscenter) They were making a HUGE deal that the Yankees are struggling...Why the media attention (so much of it) for a 4th place team???
  9. NO WONDER, and now hes trying to act like he is a Sox fan and take us down as well...I get it now
  10. And it will be great when Schilling comes back, hes gonna be a huge boost if he pitches like he can
  11. :wtf: And what does lead poisoning have anything to do with your lack of grammar???
  12. I wouldn't say that "so many" people are liking him on here, this is more like a few vs. many argument and your not helping the how did this thread get 120 responses...LOL
  13. It may be early, but man he is Torchin the National League!!!
  14. Clementrulez30, why are you so quick to give people the hook...? All I can say is Im glad you are NOT managing the Red Sox...We wouldnt be talking playoffs...thats for sure
  15. Ive been watching this unfold for awhile now (Bellhorn argument), and this wont seem to die. I mean guys struggle...but what bugged me was comparing him to Manny (hence my username) and we all (at least the Bellhorn fans) seem to glorify his walks, and he doesnt even lead the team (and Papi has ONE IBB so dont give me that), but lets look at the stats shall we... Yes Manny is scuffling, but as a few others have said before, we are NOT worried because he is much better than this... OH, and if you say bellhorn turns the BEST double play, or his fielding is great (I'll admit he is a good fielder, but certainly not the BEST) take a look at these... And, AGAIN, the only thing he leads these five in is walks and is third in runs socred (but look at it this way, he walked 12 more times than Spivey and 13 more times than Boone, think how many more runs scored they would have) granted that has some to do with our scuffling offense as a whole, (so many walks and not as many runs) were not like we should be so that I wont concern myself with in regards to this. So all I have to say is, he is a mediocre second baseman who did some huge things LAST YEAR (Which I am VERY grateful), but hasn't done much this year. Yes he does walk (DUH) but he also strikes out ALOT. So besides walks and some runs scored and productive defense (best word to describe it if you ask me), whats his production to the 2005 Boston Red Sox?
  16. No, it hasnt affected your typing at all...
  17. Who would we get then...?
  18. Geez Clementrulez, your hyperactively quick to blow up the team and change it around, I know were not in first place but its not like were cellar dwellars, were in decent position, just ,may need some SLIGHT changes, NOT all the starters like you seem to want to do, maybe just embree...
  19. thats real nice seered, REAL NICE...but howd you get it???
  20. Sizzlins right...he was totally a team guy last October...This year, I cant explain how he got hurt again, but I would NEVER trade last year for a healthy schilling this year
  21. A lil baised are we soxie???
  22. Now walker at 2nd would be interesting...
  23. HAHAHA, I dunno about the errors of Dora, but... Im sorta confused why everyone was against signing Renteria, granted he did switch leagues but its not like that was the first time that someone switched leagues...and he's always been a great player, so...whats the deal?
  24. .293 is great compared to what he was batting, and period...Id have to say Im very satisfied...Keep it up Edgar!
