Not a shock to me. I talked to someone I know who has a buddy in Detroit and he said that Joe Dumars wanted Darko to play more, and Joe told Brown that he wanted more minutes for Darko, and of course Brown didn't play him much at all. That, and the fact that Dumars wanted a guy who was committed to the Pistons to coach the team, not a guy who was shopping his services around.
As for the move itself, I think for the Knicks, its good because hes the best available, and if I was Isiah Thomas, I would take him over their old coach anyday,(Quite frankly, I would take him over ALOT of coaches in the L right now) kinda pricy if you ask me but, its New York...since when has any New York franchise had a shortage of money? I think he will help the team improve somewhat, but not as drastic as competing for a championship
