  1. Yeah, he was hurt though. Only negative with this deal. Trading Millar should be done ASAP! Before the Mets decide to back out, knowing what their getting, LOL. Only weird thing is, the Mets have this guy they JUST recently called up, named Mike Jacobs. He plays first but I guess hes "out of position" or "Doesn't really have one" but he plays first pretty good. And he can actually swing the bat. But if this is the case, anything we can get for Millar is a significant upgrade.
  2. I think he means Steve Trachsel. He just spelled it wrong
  3. Who are we supposedly trading? I don't have the Insider, so I couldn't look.
  4. LOL Soxfan #1 Are you just trying to get to 1,500 posts?
  5. HUH? :dunno: :wtf:
  6. Wow, good pictures. You had nice seats I can see.
  7. And yet, we still hold the lead.
  8. Wow, thats sweet, you added alot more. congrats to everyone, and enjoy yourselves.
  9. Looper did huh? I saw him pitch against Arizona...he throws really hard, and got the save. I wouldn't mind him in our pen.
  10. LOL, I just saw him play today against Florida. Interesting move, I guess thats the Yankees centerfielder for the rest of the year.
  11. Well reading all this, whatever you wish to call it, provokes a few thoughts... 1) As Snb988's article said "...the Yankees' pitching just doesn't have to be all that good. Not with that lineup." What about Boston? When our staff has its troubles its well documented...our offense is better lest you forget. 2) Like Optimist said about the Yankees fixing things, uhhh, last I checked Foulke is on the way back, Schillings has made ONE count it ONE (albeit against the Royals, but last I checked they swept the Yankees earlier this year) start after being a closer for awhile. Thats not a small task to do, its a huge adjustment. 3) And most of all, We're still in first folks! Of course anything can happen to the Yankees but were not driving on a one-way street, it goes for everyone. The Red Sox could rattle off 10 straight just as fast as the Yankees can (which all these new Yankee fans seem to think will happen).
  12. I agree as well. Welcome.
  13. A few?!? I'd like to see the Yankees without their closer, see how well they would do. (NOT BY ANY MEANS COMPARING RIVERA AND FOULKE, because Rivera is the best there is, just saying a closer who gets the job done, and Foulke did that last year)
  14. Well I've never heard that, and there were some Yankee fans sitting around and it was funny to me. Yeah I was so pumped to be able to see him!
  15. I went to the game tonight (Mets @ Diamondbacks) because Pedro was pitching and because I have never been able to see him pitch IN PERSON. So I go (Got there late because I had basketball practice that ended 1 hour and 20 mins before the first pitch) and watch Pedro dominate (6 IP, 2 H, 4 BB, 6 K's) and I had a good time. Sat by a Mets fan and enjoyed myself. The saddest thing (comical to me) was during the 7th and 8th innings, the Mets fans started cheering "Let's go Mets...Let's go Mets..." loud. I mean VERY LOUD. I thought it to be funny and joined in, LOL. But this team is sad, being outscored 39-7 over 4 games, allowing 17 runs last Friday to the Reds and 13 last Sunday. 9 and 8 in two losses to STL, 10 and 12 in two losses to Florida, 10 and 13 (maybe 12 I'm losing track) in two losses to ATL. This is getting out of control, and its very sad because they won the World Series only 4 years ago. And its not like their losing 18-16, its 18-4 last night, 17-1 the night before, 17-3 in Cincinnatti, 13-6 in the 'Natti. One bright spot was me being able to see my favorite pitcher ever pitch in person. I cheered loud and proud, along with the Shea West faithful (LOL) OH, and I learned a new name for Yankee fans from "Joe" the Met fan. "Bronx Boozers" LMAO
  16. Thanks for sharing...
  17. The Big East huh, hmmmm, I dunno about that. But if they are, its obviously not because of a lack of size. I really am not up to speed with college basketball and all the moves (graduation, pros etc.) so I could be wrong but I don't know of any team (UCONN is now in shambles) from the Big East that will be in the top 5. AGAIN correct me if I'm wrong. Sizzlin, why would you say that about Bynum? That ain't cool.
  18. LMAO Actually thats not a bad idea.
  19. Your right about that, he was tested positive in May, it just wasn't realeased until long after. It's hard for me to say wipe them clean, but I understand where your coming from because I hate Bonds, and all the 'roided up guys of whom I won't mention any names. But I think they should be recognized as cheaters, whether it's wiping out their records or putting an asterisk.
  20. Im on the fence with this one, I TOTALLY disagree with steroids but they still did it, I say put an asterisk by their names, ALL OF the positive testers.
  21. Wow, I missed alot when I got off to do homework, LMAO
  22. I have ALWAYS been in Rent's corner, I was EXTREMELY happy when I heard we signed him, hes a great SS, and is an upgrade on OC
