  1. Penny settling down a bit, keeping DET in the game.
  2. The difference, as it has to be, has been the curve. AJ will always have the same fastball. Decent velocity, decent movement, mediocre location. It's the curve that abandoned him last year, and has been pretty good through three innings today. EDIT: And yeah, Tex looks locked in so far. Really like the two handed follow through, which he started towards the end of last year (and is now used by every Yankee LHH except Cano).
  3. The Yankees pitch selection, especially with two strikes, continues to baffle me. They try to be way to smart at times. If you're AJ Burnett, and you get to 2-2 on Miggy, go with your best strikeout pitch. If that doesn't work then sure, try to lock him up with the FB on 3-2.
  4. Squeezed. EDIT: Ball don't lie. /sheed
  5. AdGon is so good. At least my fantasy team will benefit.
  6. Been looking forward to this one since right after the Yankees' game ended yesterday. Should be fun.
  7. And bunted two more times than he should have.
  8. Really love seeing Granderson play that shallow. Takes away the bloops, and he goes back so well on the ball. Good strategy with Mo on the mound against a weak, left handed hitter.
  9. Well I got on Granderson earlier for getting a bad read on a ball, but that was a really nice play all around.
  10. Haha yeah, the high socks are funny. Not sure why he decided to go with them.
  11. Swisher realized the game was going to end without him doing something stupid, so he had to make up for it. I'll take the run though.
  12. The 3-2 to Miggy might have been slightly outside, but that was an excellent sequence for the K.
  13. Gardner had the second highest OBP on the Yankees last year. Yet, in his only two plates appearances with a man on, he bunts.
  14. Soriano will have a pretty tough debut having to face Miggy right off the bat.
  15. Two incredible change-ups.
  16. Horrendous call.
  17. Can't believe that didn't get out.
  18. Really hope Girardi pulls CC now, and doesn't let him face the top of the order for the third time.
  19. Once again, an awful two strike pitch.
  20. Verlander has really settled down. That's 8 in a row.
  21. Great play, didn't think he had a chance.
