  1. Hey offense, come back.
  2. Haha I'm only kidding. And yeah, Colon's velocity has been a bit inconsistent, but he's topping out at 96. Odd and encouraging. Oh, and what happened to the Yankees' offense?
  3. CD, come on, get your threads straight!
  4. Colon getting unlucky, and Swisher is just awful defensively.
  5. Hahaha, the norm for the YES Network broadcast.
  6. Great pitch to finish off Konerko.
  7. He smoked the ball. Doesn't matter that he swung at the first pitch. Just got unlucky.
  8. That's not really fair. Cashman was against the signing because he thought it was a bad use of resources, not because he thought Soriano would be ineffective. Anyway, missed the entire game ... but heard Lillibridge made two incredible plays. Couple really bad losses in a row.
  9. So you hate A-Rod as a person because of what you think he might be like if you ever met him. Gotcha.
  10. Nice little straw-man lol.
  11. I've got no issue with the Yankees lose stuff. Have at it.
  12. Martin has been good, but you can't be fishing for a walk. The 3-1 pitch was there, gotta pull the trigger.
  13. Posada is just awful. Too many guys struggling.
  14. And also, like the game vs BAL, the White Sox are swinging early in the count, against hittable pitches, and missing them by slim margins. Wait till he faces better offensive teams. If you've been impressed with AJ, we either have vastly different standards, or we're not watching the same guy. The process, in this case, does not match the results. AJ has been decent, but the narrative is that he has been better than that this year, and that isn't the case.
  15. Really unimpressed with AJ so far today. Very fortunate he has only given up one run to this point.
  16. And there's the main thing Granderson struggles with defensively. He gets bad reads on balls he needs to come in for.
  17. It would be cool if AJ started to get ahead of hitters. EDIT: AJ managed to get lucky on three straight pitches to get Rios.
  18. Maybe that's what you feel, but it's not what you've articulated to this point. "You wouldn't be happy if Jon Lester hit the 15 or 30 day DL?" That is, quite clearly, talking about the injury, rather than its effect. But regardless, all I'll say is that I would never want any players to get hurt. When AdGon got hit on the hand by CC, the first thing I said to the person I was watching the game with was that I hoped he was OK. Same thing when Lester got hit in the knee by a Melky line-drive in 2009 (first two potential Sox's injuries that came to mind that I remember seeing when it happened). Based on what you've said in the thread, I suspect that if A-Rod got hit on the hand, or CC got hit by a line-drive, you'd prefer if they had to go on the DL. At the same time, I realize that you wouldn't necessarily be happy about the injuries, but rather what they meant for the Yankees and the Red Sox. But where we differ is that I wouldn't want any player on any team to miss any time. To each their own. EDIT: And, unfortunately, that's probably better than the way a lot of fans view injuries to rival teams (especially Yankees/Red Sox).
