  1. You just said the other day that he looked on the cusp of breaking out lol.
  2. Gardner has been swinging the bat much better lately. Time to swap him and Jeter.
  3. The Yankees' offense goes as A-Rod goes. Been that way since 2007.
  4. And that's why you don't give away outs you morons. Stupid stupid stupid team.
  5. Hooray for giving away outs in the third inning, especially after the pitch just threw four straight out of the zones, with an extremely fast runner on first base.
  6. Nova getting absolutely hammered, during the only part of the game that he is supposed to be good. Him pitching well in his last start could very easily turn out to be a bad thing for the Yankees. He should be in the minors, but with Millwood gone, there is no logical replacement.
  7. Missed the top of the 3rd ... can anyone explain to me what the bad call was?
  8. This. Lets drop the cliches ... "guys playing for themselves", "no fight", "someone needs to spark them", etc etc. They're a good team that is just slumping. Unfortunately the numbers with RISP will correct themselves, and all of a sudden the Red Sox will look great.
  9. It's times like this when I feel vindicated for calling the Yankees stupid, especially when it comes to pitch selection. Holy s***.
  10. I don't understand the refusal to go inside here. He'd never be able to pull the trigger.
  11. Should be Mo for the heart of the order, but that'll never happen.
  12. *Covering my eyes*
  13. Hey Derek, go away please. And I really hope AJ isn't back out for the 7th.
  14. But hey, more bad Jays' base running. AJ is grateful.
  15. Bullpen please. Well, I was one inning late. This was very predictable to everyone ... except Girardi.
  16. Pickoff changed the entire complexion of that inning. Rajai cost his team big time there.
  17. AJ implosion in 3...2...1 EDIT: Enormous break.
  18. Oh and a big wasted opportunity when they could have really widened the lead.
  19. Yeah absolutely. And he deserves some credit for Colon too, but I think that's more pure luck than anything else.
  20. Holy crap, what terrible pitch selection. Martin has been great, but that is not something that has improved from Posada.
  21. HP ump really trying to make life difficult on Drabek. Odd, because the narrative suggests that strike-zones for all Yankees' hitters are microscopic.
  22. Ump giving Drabek gifts. Only way he's going to get ahead of hitters right now. EDIT: Yup ... not a single strike in that whole AB. Now how will Jeter ruin this...?
  23. Just like with Jeter, the only thing the Yankees can do is cross their fingers with Posada and hope he strikeouts, instead of hitting into a DP. EDIT: Having Jeter and Posada in the same lineup is brutal.
  24. They've gotta be patient with Drabek. Just like in his first start against the Yankees, that fastball is all over the place.
  25. Good SSs get to that, average shortstops at least have a chance to get it on the drive ... Jeter doesn't even come close. What a joke.
