  1. Well, OK, looking back this would have been Joba's fourth outing in five games. But we're seeing what makes David Robertson unreliable. He just can't consistently find the strike zone.
  2. Joba can't pitch back to back days?
  3. There should be no debate as to who the best player in the game is.
  4. Haha I'm only kidding around. I just see a habit with Jacko where he focuses almost exclusively on the result.
  5. Joe will never do it, but it's time to get AJ out of there. He has been awful the last two innings. Jacko, quick, tell me it's OK because he only gave up one run!
  6. Horrendous inning from AJ, although Jacko would have us believe that it was just your average one run, four batter inning.
  7. Hosmer's HR doesn't bother me all that much. AJ can't fall behind like that, but once he does, I like the fact that he challenged him on three consecutive pitches. Just got to give the kid credit, he beat AJ. What does bother me is that this team really makes a habit out of wasting opportunities.
  8. One thing that really hurts AJ, even when he's throwing the ball well, is that he just isn't capable of getting inside on righties.
  9. And for what it's worth, we're not talking about expectations, but rather observations. Tonight the process didn't match the result ... that's my only point.
  10. Robertson all over the place. It's almost as if this was predictable ... oh wait ...
  11. Really not sure how I feel about Robertson in the fireman role that Joe has relegated him to. His great K-rates help in these spots, but he often struggles with his command, which certainly can prove costly with little margin for error.
  12. Bullpen please. Garcia has been hit hard all night ... very lucky to have only given up one run.
  13. Few others which I love, but unfortunately wasn't able to see live: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=7036781 (Sox's fans who are a bit older should love this one ... the last half of the game was just incredible) http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=3113173 http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=2650452
  14. Yeah, the two he hit in Angel Stadium that year (Game 2 and 6) were incredible. Two thirds of the way up the RCF seats.
  15. Kind of funny to think about the way people talked about the Granderson trade through May of last year. Granderson is cementing himself as the best CFer in the AL, and he's in the conversation for all of baseball.
  16. Soriano looks really bad. Velocity not there at all ... unless these are all cutters ... which would also be weird.
