  1. I do wonder when this Nunez thing is going to reach its breaking point. He's an enormous liability on the most routine plays. And the HP ump steals a K from CC. Wonderful.
  2. He might be willing to do that, we just don't know. We also don't know exactly what their money situation is, and what they can afford and can't afford. Saying they can't resign him seems presumptuous.
  3. It would absolutely translate into less revenue. Right now people are excited about the team because they're playing well and have a MVP candidate. If they deal Reyes, they can say goodbye to both of those things.
  4. Haha that's true, they've played a ton of home games ... but they've also played well on the road (20-13).
  5. The Yankees have had the 7th toughest schedule in all of baseball.
  6. Skimmed this quickly, but my favorite part was Gom ranking FB velocities. 98 MPH = 'above average' ... lol.
  7. And it's worth noting how good Robertson has been. Another 1-2-3 today with 2 Ks, starting with Tulo. He has only given up 4 earned runs in 31.1 innings, which is good for a 1.15 ERA. That's awesome, and even though I don't expect it, I hope he keeps his place on the top of the depth chart (aside from Mo) when Soriano returns.
  8. I think he was pretty bad through the first four innings, just incredibly lucky. He was behind almost every hitter, got into numerous three ball counts, and the Yankees hit a bunch of balls hard right out people. But that's baseball, and it was bound to catch up with him at some point.
  9. And there you go. Brian Gordon is absolutely horrendous.
  10. 100% luck ... nothing else. Fortunately he'll be out of the rotation very shortly.
  11. Brian Gordon's CB is awful.
  12. Just because the article uses the word 'hip' doesn't mean it presents any evidence that it's giving him a problem.
  13. There's nothing about his hip in that article. He's banged up and, for baseball players, he's getting old. I obviously can't know this for sure, but for now I'd consider it normal and expected.
  14. There have been some stories about his shoulder, but it doesn't seem serious and it certainly hasn't effected his play. I haven't heard anything about his hip. You got any links?
  15. Well that's gonna happen when Joe plays guys out of position. Classic Joe.
