Why would you put another guy on here, in the second inning, with Joba on the mound? Not to mention you're going to make Joba pitch with the bases loaded.

Either Joba is nibbling and walking everyone or he's being aggressive and getting hammered. I hope they have a solution come next year.

Ian Snell looks bad in the first, but gives up nothing. Should be only a matter of time. We'll see what Joba has.

Not the point at all. If a700 is going to assume that Ortiz is clean from 2004 on because he didn't fail any drug tests, then the same logic should apply for A-Rod. Instead he dodged admitted that by taking a shot at A-Rod's character.

It's really not fair to say that I'm using hindsight. How do you know that I wasn't sitting there watching the game, hoping they'd walk Ichiro? I wasn't worried about Ichiro hitting a HR. However, I was worried about a single, and a tie game. Remember, the Yankees are on the road and would have already used Hughes and Rivera. Not to mention Robertson is unavailable. If they tie the game there, they likely lose anyway. If I'm Girardi I'm playing for the win, and my best chance to accomplish that is to pitch to Franklin Guitterez instead of Ichiro.

I apologize if you guys don't think this is worth it's own thread, but it's a really nice story. Ian Kennedy got called up today, making his way all the way back after being diagnosed with an aneurysm earlier in the season. Have to feel really good for him. Maybe he can get a start at some point towards the end of the season.

Andy is injured. I don't see what Joe has to do with that. Joba is an organizational decision.
