  1. Juan Miranda...lol
  2. I would imagine he has the green light to run.
  3. So awesome...
  4. Him and his .328 OBP haven't been so awesome this year.
  5. There goes that. I doubt the bottom of the Twins order can come up with two runs against Rodney.
  6. Come on Mauer. EDIT: Leyland stuck with Verlander for way too long. I can't believe he got Mauer out after being down 2-0 in the count, with what he has right now. EDIT 2: He sticks with him for way too long, yet doesn't pay for it in the end. The worst part is that he went out to the mound before the Cuddyer AB (reminiscent of the 2006 postseason) and Verlander got him out. I'm sure Leyland is going to be praised for his decisions.
  7. Wow, Phil Coke is an absolutely brutal fielding pitcher. He took his time to field the bunt, losing any chance to get the runner. And then that... EDIT: I understand that the game doesn't mean anything, but what an awful inning.
  8. That three solid starts in a row for AJ, and four of his last five.
  9. Well, the way Verlander is pitching, this one seems to be in the bag. I still think Minnesota can win the next two. Or at least I can hope. As for the ALDS, I would be very surprised if they lost to the Twins, but I wouldn't be if they lost to the Tigers. What I don't like is that Verlander is slated to pitch Sunday. That would line him up to pitch games two and five. In my estimation, that creates a problem. While the Tigers would have no one to match up with CC, the Yankees would have no one to match up with Verlander. Based simply on the pitching match ups, one can reasonably expect the Tigers to split the first two. If that happens, they would just need to take one game at home to push the series to five games. The game five pitching match up would be Verlander against Burnett. That scares me, and I think it very well might happen.
  10. That might upset some people.
  11. It's nice to see all the swings and misses AJ is getting, but he is also throwing way too many pitches. A-Rod cost him that inning with some poor defense, or he wouldn't have given up a run and his pitch count would be considerably lower.
  12. Verlander looks sharp early.
  13. Why are you guys Tigers' fans? Does it have to do with who the Yankees face in the ALCS?
  14. Blackburn really doesn't look good, but somehow he's only given up one run.
  15. Happy to see Joe remembering that it doesn't need to be a close game to use Aceves. He needs more consistent work.
  16. A couple of relatively improbable things have occurred over the course of the last two innings. Ramiro Pena hit a home run and Shelley Duncan got a hit.
  17. Hahaha, I know. I chuckled a bit when he hit it out.
  18. lol, Mark Teahen homers.
  19. Yankees' game will probably be delayed, but they should get it in. Somehow, Robinson Cano still finds his way into the lineup.
  20. Looks like there is a good chance the Tigers Twins game is going to be postponed.
  21. Well, while Gom may upset people on this site, he is not stupid. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  22. I don't think that was his implication at all. I don't think there was any implication. He's trying to instigate and gloat by talking about the Yankees' championships. Nothing more, nothing less.
  23. OK, and where does he say those championships have an impact on today, as you claimed he said?
