  1. Looking like a rainout. Nice job MLB.
  2. Except guess who you're going to see for the Yanks if they ever resume...
  3. They never should have started this game if they had realized it would be raining so quickly. CC and Verlander may have just been wasted.
  4. The difference in the lineups really can't be overstated. They're a completely different team depending on the handedness of the opposing pitcher. It's a topic that hasn't gotten nearly enough attention going into these playoffs.
  5. There is one pitcher like Lee. And that's Lee. Sure it can be easier at NYS to hit HRs vs lefties, but that isn't nearly as important as the fact that the Yankees lineup isn't built to hit righties nearly as well as it is to hit lefties.
  6. Wilson's cutter has been horrendous so far, and he's going to it quite often.
  7. This is who I would want.
  8. I actually prefer the lineup they run out there against lefties. Jones and Montero are better than Gardner and Posada. And their two switch hitters, Teixeira and Swisher, are much better from the right side (at this point I expect nothing out of Tex hitting lefty against any sort of decent pitching).
  9. Tigers in five. This is the worst I've felt about the Yankees going into a postseason series since 2004 vs Boston. Granted, I've been underestimating this team since Spring Training, but I think the road ends here. Hope I'm wrong.
  10. Maddon said he's still mulling over his options. Niemann, Davis, and Moore are all possibilities, while Shields isn't.
  11. Per Rotoworld, it's looking like Niemann.
  12. It'll be interesting to see if they're willing to pitch Shields in Game 1 on three days rest. Coco, did you read that anywhere or is it just a guess?
  13. The Yanks announced that CC will pitch Game 4 (if necessary) and Garcia will pitch Game 3. So it's CC - Nova - Garcia - CC - Nova. And thanks for making the thread Coco.
  14. I didn't really want them going into the playoffs having lost four straight, but so be it. No chance they win tomorrow.
  15. That doesn't nearly do the Mets collapse justice. What's more telling is that they were up 7 games with 17 to play. Considering the number of games left on the schedule, that might be worse than this one. And, in my opinion, the 1964 Phillies are at the top of the list ... 6.5 games up with 12 to play.
  16. That's all well and good, but you're conveniently leaving out the highest pressure situation he has ever pitched in.
  17. How is it not? You said that all potentially offensive jokes are on the same level. I'm pitting the odds of someone being offended by a 9/11 related joke against the odds of someone being offended by a joke that appears to be harmless. By your logic, those jokes are equals.
  18. Haha, I give you credit BTR, you do make me laugh. If you think a valid defense for an action is to say that other people have done the same thing, then you live in a vastly different world than I do.
  19. A brilliant piece of logic right here.
