  1. Oh, I never claimed pointing out xFIP was trolling lol. It's quite the opposite. On the actual trolling, how about we just all stop?
  2. That works for me.
  3. Maybe part of the issue, for me, is that I have no ill feelings toward the Red Sox, so I don't feel the need to revel in their failures or bemoan their successes. So I think it's a bit silly when others do it, on both sides. But even with that, it still doesn't need to dissolve into going after other posters directly. EDIT: In response to RSFFL.
  4. Obviously the personal complaint is supposed to reflect my larger point. I'm sure that's not lost on you. Anyway, all I'd ask is that the trolling stops altogether. I hope that's not too much to ask.
  5. Nova suffering from some pretty bad luck these past two innings. Pitching a very good game though.
  6. I don't dispute any of those facts, but I still find it inconsistent, whether it was solicited or unsolicited. On one occasion you took to point something out, but on another, once the facts changed, you didn't. But ok, this has become cyclical, and there's little point in continuing. Let me explain where I'm coming from, though. This thread should be used to talk about baseball, specifically Yankees games. That's why I come to this forum, to talk about baseball, the Yankees, and the Red Sox. What I don't come here to do is sit back and watch petty fights between posters about the least meaningful things possible. This thread has dissolved, for the most part, into constant bickering between Jacko/Divinity and the Red Sox fans about the inconsistency of the former duo's fandom. That's annoying on its own, but particularly annoying when it seems like not only is one side being petty but also hypocritical. Now fine, if you don't see it as inconsistent or hypocritical I have no issue with that, I see no reason to belabor the point. But can we please return this thread to a place where it's just about Yankees games, and leave the other stuff either in different threads or cut it out altogether? And this isn't just directed at SR, but to everyone. It would be more enjoyable for me, and I think for everyone, if we stuck to talking about baseball.
  7. I agree, you never said they would pitch better than the Yankees the rest of the year. But don't you think it's a bit inconsistent to point out the statistics at a point in time when they favored the Red Sox, but not point them out at a point in time when they favor the Yankees? If you don't then we've reached an impasse, because I do find that to be inconsistent.
  8. The point is that you made the argument, more than once, that the Red Sox had better pitching than the Yankees. Now the Yankees have better pitching than the Red Sox, but you haven't said anything. On it's own, I don't really care, it's a message board, who gives a s***. Except this is the sort of inconsistency that Jacko has been criticized for, repeatedly, especially by you.
  9. For purposes of credibility, considering you were happy to beat the drum when the statistics favored your narrative.
  10. Kind of funny that the comparisons between the Yankees pitching and Red Sox pitching have stopped. And I don't bring that up to suggest that the Yankees definitely have better pitching than the Red Sox, but just to point out that when certain people are quick to point out statistical comparisons that favor the Red Sox over the Yankees yet say nothing when it changes, well maybe the criticisms of Jacko should lessen.
  11. Nice win today, if only because they finally had a game where the hitters were very patient and hit some balls hard.
  12. There are so many ways to tweak Yankees fans considering their current situation, and you go with this lol? I expect more.
  13. When the Yankees get criticized for not signing 2013 Manny Ramirez, it's time to close up shop.
  14. Dodgers should be winning this game 10-2.
  15. Girardi once again favoring results over the process. Only possible way to justify leaving Kuroda in this long. And somehow they're going to Kelley and not Robertson.
  16. Kuroda has been pretty bad today. So much good luck. Can't believe this isn't Robertson.
  17. Four walks is strange, but the vast majority of those hits have been nothing more than bad luck. Poorly struck balls that found grass.
  18. I was under the impression that the figures provided by PitchFX don't come from radar guns, but rather camera triangulation. Is that incorrect?
  19. http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/pfx.php?month=6&day=16&year=2013&game=gid_2013_06_16_nyamlb_anamlb_1%2F&pitchSel=282332&prevGame=gid_2013_06_16_nyamlb_anamlb_1%2F&prevDate=616 Either way, for him, it was a good velocity day, and it translated into good results.
  20. Anyway, what a crazy 9th inning. Haven't seen a team enjoy that much good fortune over the course of one half inning in a long time. In Mo's last two appearances there have been six balls put in play, none of which were hit remotely hard, yet five resulted in hits.
  21. Well this is just false lol. CC's average FB velocity was 92.71 and he topped out at 95.06.
  22. Anyway, doesn't really matter. Another day, another poor showing from the offense. Hard to see that changing anytime soon.
  23. This isn't necessarily true. Because the fan reached into the field of play, rather than the ball going into the stands, it's left up to the discretion of the umpires where to put the base runners. Seeing as there were two outs and it was a high fly ball, and I think it's pretty obvious that the runner from first scores regardless. I would expect the umpires to see it the same way.
  24. Yeah, I'm firmly behind letting Cano walk.
  25. Second replay YES showed made it look like he was out. Inconclusive either way. Also irrelevant either way. Yanks aren't coming back.
