    just 2 years ago embree's fb was touching 98.. what happened to the guy? he dropped, speedwise last season but was still effective. the drop this season is just so hard. what is going on... i like embree and i really wish he can start to pitch well again. but having a fb as his main pitch and not being able to locate it too well is not going to help him. john

    his past 3 starts have all been quality starts... and in his past 7 games 5 of them were quality starts.. since the end of april his era and dropped over 2 whole points. zito is shaping up. now only if EC could also. john

    only on my phone, but that was after it was all over, i was too busy screaming my lungs out and hugging my friend and slapping 5's to everyone around me. definately was a great game. i also came home and cleaned house playing poker. today was just my day. john

    wow, i called the sox down by a run with a runner on 2nd and a walk off hr with the last pitch when the game started. talk about happy ending, awsome game, glad i was there. john

    the yankees are on a win streak sure, but it's agains the a's an the m's. then you play the below average mets (is pedro pitching?). the yankees will contend and be in the post season but al east title is still a ways away. memorial day is around the corner and that is going to be an extremely key series for both teams. john

    the yankees need to have a .600 win % to have 98 wins at the end of this season.. it's possible but the odds are against them. could the yankees for the first time in years that the yankees are the WC or possibly eve not make the playoffs.. discuss john

    hell yeah.. a lot more people were on steriods that mlb and the fans expected.. i hate pointing fingers but a lot of formerlly really really good players are slumping and have not shown any sign on getting better. it would be a lot better when guys like johnson and oliver p. comes around and when sheets gets off the dl. john

    what are you talking about? colerko, street and that import are pretty nasty. they have an insanely talented pitching staff. as the days go by it seems as chavez was on roids or something.. when is this guy ever going to become the 30hr hitter he was not long ago. john

    as much as i love arroyo it's hard to pick him over mussina, a guy who has proven year after year to be a consistant pitcher. it's somewhat close but the edge still goes to mussina, the guy is a friggan gamer. wakefield and pavano are a wash so far miller > wang, i agree with that halama > brown, i don't. when healthy kevin brown is a very good pitcher. he might not be the KB he used to be but i think he just needs a change in environment. i don't think schilling will ever be the schilling he was. rushing back from injuries are never a good thing, when your body is not allowed to heal properly it is never the same again. hopefully i'm wrong and everything will be ok, but looking at his age and the type of injury it's hard to not be pessimistic. john

    wow, i'm glad as hell i'm not involved with this crap anymore. but i'll play peacemaker. sarah- you are entitled your opinion and there is as little reason for tex to flame you as you have to flame embree, he just pitched another 1-2-3 8th inning looking really good. as i've stated before it's still early and his era is not THAT terrible for a reliever, there are literally a handfull of teams that have more than 3 relievers with era's under 3. let the man pitch, he's a red sox, support him. remember, this is just an internet forum, not only are you making your life miserable (which matters little to some/many of us) you're making reading this forum miserable for many because of your overaggressive posts, chill out gangsta. :dunno: :dance: :dance: john

    the rays are not even close to as bad as they used to be. john

    foulke had an 1-2-3 game today and 3 straight saves. if anything did happen we could always promote timlim (less likely) or mantei (more likely) to closer but it's not necessary. even with embree sucking our bullpen has improved from last season. john

    i hate to be the guy who says it.. BUT, don't count the yankees out just yet. it's still early. hell the sox were terrible and went on FIRE last season to take the WC. right now the AL east is a very close race, especially if halladay finishes strong and lopez stays consistent. john

    that's why i like college sports, when someone is sucking everyone roots for that player to get back to form. people wear his/her jerseys to the games, cheer them on. in pro sports if you suck for any stretch you're run out of town.. i think it would be great for us to show our players support until management decides to do something. they are part of the sox and i support all sox players. john
