    agreed, we all had our moments with grady, but he was a solid manager overall. overreactors we boston fans are (unfortunately).

    els, i couldnt agree with u more, and ur not negative, ur just bringing everyone back down to earth, and stating the truth. people, lieber beat us last time out...dont forget that. although schilling is good, he can get beat up too, this game is no gimme like it seems to be. sturtze vs arroyo...last time at home against the yankees, arroyo figured in a no-decision, and we won that game. for a young pitcher, if he can just help us get a win tonight, it will be HUGE for him. contreras and lowe, i have NO confidence against the yankees. we need to play our asses off for this win to come, and im not saying its impossible, its just gunna take a lot of work. contreras isnt the contreras we faced in april, the yankees arent the yankees we faced in april. they turned into the best team in baseball (im sorry), but its true. best record in baseball with 8.5 game lead in the division, i think thats a good team.

    everyone says we cant keep up with the likes of oakland...last time i checked we were unbeatable against them...with a sweep. ok and i understand we dont get to play them soon, so if they perform well against other teams...i see where all this is coming from...

    please, thats what i said before, he didnt INTEND for it to happen, which is what may help, and milton bradleys incident was pretty bad too.

    i agree with u, he gave up 5 runs i think in 5 innings, thats better than lowe already. maybe he can take over lowes spot...

    independent, but i tend to be more on the republican side of things. im voting bush again...i just have this HORRIBLE feeling about kerry...and let me tell u..im not into politics AT ALL.

    keith foulke has never been a top 3 closer. he had a couple good years in oakland but i think that was his prime...his days in chicago seem to be catching up to him, but i do have faith in him for some reason

    blowhorn is an OBP machine because he WALKS, meaning he DOESNT SWING, and he gets caught up way too much.

    i AGREE with u. there is no way we can have a little run like we did before the ASB and suddenly stink it up, i think we are in a slump, and trying to get out. we can turn this around easily.

    no, u cant spark desire to win by beating the orioles and failing against the yankees. if they dont beat the yankees 2/3 games this season and dont realize they can do it this year...im gunna give up along with them, because so far ive had it.

    agreed, and remember we have guttierez (sp?) too. in case youk cant start... and also with all this people hating nomar...cut him some slack...hes probably pissed that hes been the subject of trade TWICE this year, so if anything, nomar should be mad at us. although i dont tihnk this is the case, his injury is bad too, people need to relax, remember when he broke his wrist in the offseason? maybe a year or two ago i forget, but after awhile he came back and helped us A LOT. so if nomar DOES end up finishing the season with us, we would let him go (which i dont personally want) and hope for edgar renteria, although we do have solid people right now.

    or were not going to sign 3 people, only 1, because pedro requires a lot of money, and tek has been good but kelly shoppach will come up next year and we will see what he has to offer.

    yes yes a trade would be nice....but if nothing ends up happening the sox have shown interest in next years FA...edgar renteria. if nomar doenst get traded watch out for renteria...hes a great SS and many say the best in the NL, which he may possibly be.
