  1. COME ON NOMAR UR SUPPOSED TO PULL A JETER!!! or not, because he wont get the attention...because hes not jeter. well plainly put...it fell in the only place they didnt cover!!! and millar sucks, his fielding is s***, one good game and people say OH MY GOD LAY OFF! the truth hurts: lets get rid of this clown...he sucks. nixon in, even though theres a lefty, and kapler in leftfield. its as easy as that. ortiz is still playin even though theres a lefty isnt he????
  2. they can compete in NO division, and none of the AFC. AFC: east: pats and dolphins are superior. north: ravens and maybe bengals. im sorry, jamal and ray own. west: chiefs and broncos would rock them. south: colts and titans...'nuff said. NFC: east: eagles, erm no. north: possible contenders, but i would be heavily concerned with green bay and the vikings. west: seahawks would win, but every other team is struggling, excluding the rams, who have been pretty inconsistent over the last few seasons. south: no. carolina owns them even though they will never be as good as they were. falcons? NO WAY. healthy mike vick and peerless price with others are no beaters. sorry jets, but evidence of beastly teams suck doesnt it?
  3. kapler!!! its plays like that, that make a pitcher like lowe feel great. now he can feel comfortable with a ball put in play.
  4. and lowe working his way out of yet another jam. i really do have a good feeling about this game. and that lineout double play is one of the reasons v-tek will be leaving next year. not a good read at all. but hey, it coulda happened to anyone. whatever, GO SOX.
  5. good point actually. of all teams i could think of, padres would be last on my list.
  6. s*** vladi gets a chance to hit in the first inning...oh well...LETS GO LOWE. YES THE INTENTIONAL WALK!!! going back to the confidence thing, does anyone notice that when lowe gives up a measly hit or pitches a ball he puts his head down and looks disgusted? i think he needs to know, that though there are many people who doubt him, that there are still strong believers. and through the first inning, lowe looks pretty good. no jynxing trying here, but his sinkers got some movement. lets go lowe, pitch some more of these innings. truthfully, i think the first inning is the most important inning to get through, because u face their good hitters, get through them, and continue. lets get the bats going, and by the way, the replay showed that johnny was SAFE. he continued his hitting streak...in my mind.
  7. o yeah and going back to the lakers losing and how its connecting to the jets, i thought the pistons were going to win because of one aspect they had. AGE. sure kobes young and a great talent, but karl malone, gary payton, SHAQ?? OLD!!! GET TIRED EASILY. dont get me wrong, shaq is the most dominent center to paly on the court today and the lakers are stupid for letting him go, but the way the pistons played was pure genius. they knew that shaq was going to score every time he got the ball, so cut off the source of where he was getting it from, double team kobe and man up on everyone else...GENIUS. tayshawn prince, ben wallace, rasheed (ok hes not the youngest of guys out there), chauncey billups, all around they are the more younger more in shape team. ok i went off topic for this section of the forums...but o well.
  8. i agree with the running game crespo, MARTIN IS WASHED UP AND WE DONT MISS HIM NOW THAT WE HAVE DILLON!!! by the way, anyone know where i can get one of those new dillon patriots shirts? ive been roaming around for them and cant find one anywhere!!! gotta be glad ty law and belichick (sp?) made up, what a loss that would of been. WHEW! and while im in the yankee fan section, anyone know a website where i can go look at what yankee fans talk about and what they say about boston...im very interested. thanks.
  9. hey jack, i live around newton, would be cool to see u maybe. were u guys freaking out at the i-rod ordeal? let me tell u, maroth has turned it around like ive never seen before, and u gotta love the way the tigers got rid of weaver, great for u guys but on a downhill slope. it seems like lately the tigers have gotten very aggressive in their scouting, and yes, thank you for the great series u had with the yanks, even though this post is a little late.
  10. i think the reason the sox put him back into pawtucket was because well, we have mueller who we would like to start every game, with pokey at 2B and nomar at SS, like it was supposed to be with no bellhorn messing around. but the reason was, i think, was that youkilis was too good not to play everyday. if hes back in pawtucket he can play everyday alongside some other AAA future sparks for boston, earl snyder and kelly shoppach. truthfully, earl snyder can play 2B and was a AAA allstar. i say we try out snyder a few games and see what we can get out of him, maybe better than pokey. it would make a lot of people who think pokey should be benched feel good. mendoza, if he doesnt perform im sure we can trade him, but i agree with everyone else, not the o's. out of contention, bottom line, but the truth is, its not like mendoza would HELP a team, he would more like just be added. maybe mendoza for cash would be nice if we could find someone stupid enough to do it...
  11. hopefully damon can keep up his fire after the break, which seemed to come at the worst possible time for him. lowe, u never know, he is unpredictable. i dont have a sinking feeling however, the only thing im concerned about is vladi, because of that beastly game he had against us, but if im correct, i forget which pitcher it was off of (pedro? correct me if im wrong). we need to jump out to the early lead like the usual games we have previously had. i think lowe lacks confidence. if he can gear up and get a lead to work with, even tho he gave up six runs last outing against texas and blew the lead, he came right back out and shut them down. lowe will be confident if we get the early lead. i have a good feeling about this one truthfully. GO LOWE, PROVE TO US Y U SHOULD STAY!!!! i feel bad for this guy, lets get some confidence back. GO SOX AND GET THE BATS GOING EARLY.
  12. actually even tho he may be hiding his sexuality, while i lived in boston because of a fire in my house, now im back thankfully, i lived in the same building as manny. he has a HOT wife, and they have a baby...thought id bring that up..
  13. when i heard the new revisions i made a new poll
  14. o, i didnt even know that he was offered the spot!
  15. but thats just the thing, he wont be giving up 6 runs and only go 5 innings if hes with joe kerrigan
  16. well, looking back at foulkes past, he hasnt had a very pleasant one since he went to the a's. remember him at the white sox? he was TERRIBLE!!! i hope it isnt catching onto him, as players tend usually not to play their best as a red sock, i mean look at tony clark. he couldnt hit water if he fell out of a boat...(thanks to the movie dodgeball)
  17. updated, giambi is out because of the bugs he has and griffeys hamstring...SO THEY PUT IN TEJADA? MANNY IS THE AL HR LEADER!!! PUT HIM IN!!!
  18. thats right, BELIEVE. pokey...better second half, i smell more inside the park HRs
  19. roger is still one of the best and greatest pitchers on the mound today. randy johnson is still great sure. but u cant say luck doesnt play a factor in perfect games.
  20. what are ur rankings? did u post any?
  21. oh well, im still glad i get to see lance berkman in the HR derby, hes a great addition, player of the month for may or june? i forget which one...im also happy beltran gets to play, he was the lead vote receiver for the AL back in KC, but still, hes a great player
  22. ok u gimme some proof about how teks slower swing is gunna help him, id love to hear it.
  23. u never know, randy johnson is pretty old too and he doesnt seem to be slowing donw.
  24. like i said ortiz34, ur man shoudl start, having hell of a better year, and mvp bound (hopefully) this year.
  25. yesterdays game
