  1. well all i know is the jets arent gunna do s*** this year.
  2. schilling out the k's...i dont know its like schilling tossing out k's...heh heh.
  3. as much as i hate to say it, i agree with empire. santana and mulder have been consistent ALL SEASON. not to mention santana is basically left-handed pedro.
  4. well i havent really kept close on those stats but im kinda bumbed out...nathan is a great closer. and i wanted the streak to stay alive.
  5. OK...NEVER DOUBT ME ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS AGAIN...WE WERE SO DAMN CLOSE. i was just watching channel 4 and bob lobell said that we have claimed clemens off of waivers, but houston pulled him back. ok...i almost called it..gimme some props for that...i started this godforsaken thread.
  6. what happened?!?! nathan blew a save and gave up runs for teh first time in like 3 months??? noo y did it have to be the spankmees who ruined it?!?
  7. i think the texans. they are a great young club and have great young players. i think this is possibly david carr's breakout year. he has a great WR in andre johnson who is easily the best out of the WRs there, and they have an OUTSTANDING young RB in domanick davis. if they dont make the playoffs this year, they are easily a +.500 team. anyone elses thoughts?
  8. i think the eagles. just because they got T.O. and "the freak" (jevon kearse for those of you who dont know), doesnt mean they will live it up. their D has gotten damaged, with an injury to the freak, and they lost too many good players, especially one of their DBacks. lito shepphard or brian dawkins im not sure which one. even though the likes of the donovan mcnabb and TO connection exist, when they run into a defense such as dallas's or NE's, i just dont tihnk they will survive. TO will also always be double teamed, and it will make it hard for mcnabb to keep consistent with the other not-so-great WR staff they have. who else does everyone think?
  9. ok we need to make this thread live again as the pre-season has begun. not to be biased, but i wouldnt be surprised at ALL if this team went 16-0, and won the superbowl. we dont have as hard of a schedule as last year, and we can beat the colts and chiefs when we play them. i think we should also have an "individual game thread" for when the pats are on in this section of the forum. it will be cool.
  10. i wouldnt have sent him if it was johnny damon in LF . both their arms suck but even if johnny damon has the ball when a baserunner is rounding third ill take the guy with the ball anyday. mueller was out by 10 steps. on a bad throw, maybe 2 or 3 steps. the fact is...he was out no matter what unless the ball got past the catcher.
  11. as much as i would love it to be petey, i dont think so. i think it will be mulder. hes had the most consistent year out of anyone there, and he started the ASG, although it doesnt mean much. (loaiza didnt win it last year). if he keeps pitching like this, people have recognized it before, he will be the next 300 game winner.
  12. i dont think this is gunna last..im just saying that i also think mientkiewicz should be in there everyday, his defense is phenomenal and he does have a good bat. i didnt say that he SUCKED, i will just take a good bat and great defense that a hot bat and not so great defense.
  13. 3 starts seemed to be enough...looks like the yankees will send loaiza to the rangers for...get this: PROSPECTS!!! link to the article: http://www.nypost.com/sports/yankees/27122.htm
  14. o, and also...mueller got thrown out on what would and could have been earl snyder's first ML rbi. it was his first ML hit too.
  15. yea...sveum sended him home while the ball was already in the LF's glove. he threw a strike to the plate and mueller was out by 10 steps. thankfully shmuck'em heard the boos after sending him.
  16. we just escaped with the win...foulke is starting to make me worry again. im the only one that posted in this thread...cool.
  17. ok...f*** GETTING A NEW SKIPPER...WE NEED A NEW f***IN THIRD BASE COACH...THIS GUY IS THE f***IN DEVIL...MUELLER WAS OUT BY 10 STEPS!!!!
  18. the dunkin dugout is a place where kids sit to watch the game when they are randomly selected to go. i think its a school trip thing. anyway, i was saying the kids must have laughed when the guy (possibly you) got beer thrown on them. u said you sat a few rows in front of the dunkin donuts sign in the grandstand...in front of the dunkin dugout.
  19. yea i think i mentioned once to that the mvp will go to someone on a contending team. o yea i said thats y i didnt vote for pudge.
  20. well my wishes were granted when i saw earl snyder from AAA in there today...but hes not doing good at all. so far 0-2 with a DP.
  21. yes i know, but also the team around him he relies on to get him home, he just doesnt have that in SF. pujols has a nasty lineup (if not the best in the MLB), and will always help him out. teammates factor a lot into the MVP award and stats alone. RBIs for example, huge stat category. and also runs scored...hes not always batted in while in SF. i just dont think bonds will get it.
  22. yea...i cant think of one guy from their bullpen at the top of my head.
