  1. haha in front of the dunkin dugout...the kids must have loved it.
  2. jayson bay. great rookie athlete, hot as of late...from pittsburgh.
  3. Batista 9-8, 4.35 @ Wakefield 8-7, 4.67 we have had some success against batista in the past. we should be able to sweep the jays tonight. the standings as of tonight: AL EAST: yankees 75-43 -- GB red sox 66-52 9 GB orioles 57-61 18 GB devil rays 55-64 20.5 GB blue jays 49-71 27 GB WILD CARD: red sox 66-52 -- GB rangers 66-52 -- GB angels 65-54 1.5 GB Guardians 63-58 4.5 GB w. sox 59-57 6 GB orioles 57-61 9 GB tigers 55-63 11 GB we need to win a lot to ensure this wild card spot
  4. well what u post are facts. the facts are just more negative than positive.
  5. true, but he just doesnt do anything to help the team. i know its not fair, but there are a lot of things that arent fair.
  6. hell no. he said he doesnt have that good of a rotation and i just said many teams would kill to have it.
  7. i heard something also about u needing to give up posada. plus he was smart by not giving RJ to you...then you would be unbeatable to anyone, and the d-backs manager may have saved baseball.
  8. the al east race is over unfortunately, its WC or bust.
  9. not sure...i thnik rolen. best in rbis, great glove, great bat, consistent every day. pujols/rolen i think is most dangerous combo out there. between bonds and pujols its pujols, im sorry, im just sick of barry getting all this hype and s***...he wont get an mvp award because people dont pitch to him to often...meaning he doesnt do too much.
  10. yea i have my doubts too...i see him coming back only if he doesnt get as much as we are paying him for now. also mike mathenys a FA...maybe we could see what we could work out?...yes i know im saying i want too many people but im a sox fan...i want a good team...just like we all do
  11. actually i didnt make it clear i meant to exclude him from not having the best year cause i had established he had became an ace...but i do agree with you. easily the best year of his career.
  12. yeah...georgy porgy should use his brain more...even though he does when grabbing the best out there..
  13. that was really helpful...i dont understand how it could confuse you more RSR, if anything it makes it a damn lot more clearer...but its different for everyone i guess..
  14. mussina, brown, vazquez, and now duque, are all aces. theyre just not having the best years possible...theyll come around for you...as much as i dont want them to...for the yanks. besides...brown came back from the DL and has been pitching lights out...i dont know whats up with mussina..but hes still damn good...is he hurt? also, vazquez is still an ace...just not when hes on the yankees. you see what happens when they go to the yanks? they look good with the team theyre with, but when they get put into all the talent they just fall into their own talent pool....theyre pitching the same as they always have been but u dont notice the difference because your too damn good.
  15. i dont know but im guessing the one in the skydome? it would be real easy..
  16. also for pitchers... i dont want lowe around...period. resign pedro, and we have schilling, arroyo, and wake. heres some SP FAs i would be interested in... carl pavano matt clement odalis perez eric milton chris carpenter woody williams and some RPs (which we desperately need): john franco mike dejean rheal cormier antonio alfonseca i like the free agent pool next year...interesting players. for an up to date list... free agent list
  17. also, here is my lineup i would LIKE to see next year: CF- Damon 2B- Cabrera DH- Ortiz LF- Ramirez 1B- Mientkiewicz/Millar (I would like to see more MKZ) SS- Renteria RF- Nixon/Millar (Millar when lefties pitch) C- Varitek 3B- Mueller/Youk (After next year, the job is Youk's only) keep reese on the side... of course the lienup would shift depending on whos playing, but its too early, but this is what i would LIKE to see.
  18. as much as i hate to say it, the yanks arent the only one with a high payroll. a lot of teams would like to have bostons payroll. dont we spend like the 2nd most in the MLB, of course, under the yanks? also, anyone know where i can find a list of FAs for next year?
  19. o no doubt he wouldnt win, but he deserves to be a candidate for it.
  20. ORLANDO CABRERA!!!! a little luck with the bounce up on top of the scoreboard though...but thats what you call homefield advantage!!! a little disappointed pedro didnt pitch as well as he could have but he was still solid and got the down when it counted.
  21. the yanks probably...but seriously i dont know...havent been following baseball as of late too much...ive been away.
  22. cabrera wont be coming back? i still think hes going to come back and do well for us this year, and i think he could be moved to 2B...?
  23. hes done very well for cleveland and has brought them back into contention.
  24. actually....i think vlad should win it period. i could also think, dont kill me for sayin because i know it prob wont happen, but i think travis hafner DESERVES a spot on the list, but SHOULDNT win it.
