remember, orlando cabrera has made the all star team past 2 out of 3 years...im pretty sure. nomar, well, hes sucked this season, and hes running off his mouth and complaining instead of focusing on playing. nomar was leaving at the end of the season, and we wouldnt ahve gotten anyone for that, but now we have cabrera and mientkiewicz. aside now, people need to realize this was a DEFENSIVE SUPERIOR trade. we have great bats in manny, mueller, ortiz, tek (sometimes), trot...the list goes on, but we have absolutely SUCKED with our D. orlando cabrera has to be the most UNDERRATED ss in the whole game, hands down. and remember, its not all over, as we probably wont contend for the WS this year, although the team CAN. but if this is the case (which i certainly hope its not), we are looking at renteria for a SS next year. of course people are saying, well we have cabrera at SS, well only if we could move cabrera over to 2B, and have renteria at SS, that would be great. mientkiewicz, well he should start at 1B from now on. ortiz at DH, mccarty can become a base coach or somethin, and millar can split time in the outfield vs lefties with trot or somethin. as far as dave roberts is concerned...i havent the slightest why we went for him, except for his speed. the only scenarios i can see him coming in is for pinch running late in games when we need runs or need insurance runs. hope this helps...

and after todays game, i would have to say he has adjusted well, a HR first time up, and that last error wasnt his fault...kapler missed the cutoff. overall a good player.

no he wont, but he is one of the most underrated SSs in the MLB, he doesnt get noticed much because he was on MON, but if we can get renteria to play SS next year and cabrera at 2B, i will be very satisfied. who would u rather have? bellhorn and pokey? or cabrera and renteria? hopefully this is a possibility, that would be one of the best 2B-SS combos in the league.

watching the red sox pregame for tonights game...im glad that theo has taken responsibility for the defensive faults this team had. he is a responsible GM and my respect for him has started to build. come on mientkiewicz...lets go!! and does anyone know when cabrera will be in a sox uniform?

thats right, and the cubs were sucking it up this year anyway...theyre not going to win the NL Central, the cards are too hot, and the wildcard is gunna be the phillies or braves, whichever doesnt win the east. the cubs wont even be in the playoffs this year.

ermm no, nomars a whiny little bitch and we got tired of it. orlando cabrera is a highly valuable SS, made the NL allstar team the past two years. mientkiewicz is a gold glove first baseman. basically we got defense out of this deal, what we need. im very happy with this trade, and with a new D, everyones ERA will now go down. and nomar wasnt gunna be re-signed ANYWAY, so im glad we got people for him.

well mientkiewicz is now playing on the team he was playing with last night in the stadium he was playing in last night...it will be interesting. orlando cabrera and mientkiewicz will add a lot to this team, with a better D now, we will see a change in lowe's ERA...mark my words.

i am so happy with this. cabrera is a young superstar, mientkewicz will be graet at 1B for us, ortiz the DH, and millar could play sometime, hes starting to get hot and also my respect.

dont be so negative, lowe has to go out there tonight and show why he wasnt traded. after his outing last game, which i was at and was pleased with his performance, he should have a lot of confidence after spanking the yanks last time out. i say lowe does well, and the sox bats came alive last night ON THE ROAD against a solid twins team. could this be the turning point of the season? last night they looked like the contenders they should be.

the d-backs said they will not release randy johnson even though he waved goodbye last night, sucks for the yankees. reportedly they said it yesterday.

he should go try to win money in ear-eating contests, and it would be fun to see him riding around in like an oldsmobile instead of a bentley.

this is from espn.com, by the way. if you read on further in the article: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1849414 it states that this trade could possibly be paving the way for RJ to go to the dodgers. for the dodgers, it just seems to add to their success in the NL west. finley has repeatedly said he will only go to another team in the NL west...and the dodgers do fit the description. yes you do, please make it the dodgers...as: i would love it if randy shut down the yankees and stayed in the NL west. it just shows georgey porgey that he doesnt have control of the mlb. and i would just love it basically if the yankees were screwed by it. although one of their pitching concerns are gone because kevin brown had a strong outing tonight, they still have to worry about mussina, one of their greats, and who knows if brown will keep this up.

well after tonight, i would have to think tysons career is OVER. got knocked out, yes KNOCKED OUT in the 4th round by someone ive never heard of...i cant even think of his name right now. anyone else think tysons done, i mean the last time he was knocked out was over a year ago against lennox lewis..i think, and im no boxing fan...its just interesting to see tyson get knocked out...heh heh

according to mlb.com, the mets have just acquired: SP Kris Benson (from PIT) SP Victor Zambrano (from TB) i expected kris benson to go to the mets, but i didnt expect them to also land victor zambrano, a solid starter who was having a good year in TB, despite his control. i think a change of scenery and the fact that he is in NY could help zambrano get to be better. i think the mets have a legit chance to at least make NL wildcard, even though it will be hard to get it with the phillies, braves and marlins in their way in their own division. if not this year, next year they will climb again. what are your thoughts about this?

look, i know its bad, but if this was going to happen to any team...im damn happy its the yankees...but i do hope they get better and are then forced to retire...

i went to the game where d-lowe pitched and i saw the baseball tonight stand thing set up, and i think jon kruk is the man!!! he waved to us during a commercial break. o yeah, i hate kerry and i thought it was awesome he heard more boos then cheers...and he made me appreciate d-lowe a lot more when he pitched the first one out from in front of the mound on the grass and didnt even reach home...i also lost my voice screaming at him...it was fun, and during the commercial i heard many "kerry sucks, kerry sucks,". nows the time to wonder why they didnt play the sound on sportscenter or any highlights when they showed him throwing out the first pitch...and the "sox fans for kerry" signs pissed me off too. i went up to them with a couple of my friends and yelled in their faces go bush! it was fun...anyway, thanks for reading my boring post.

mendoza has NOT been bad, and dont start to get onto mendoza for giving up a homerun, it happens, everyone does. gagne has HRs hit off him, even as it may not be too common.
