  1. Well I think our most dependable pitcher right now is Clement.
  2. Temperature supposed to be about 70 degrees tonight. There are forecasted thunderstorms for tonight, about a 40% chance of rain. So hopefully they'll be able to get it in. Lopez has been a Red Sox killer in his career and has faced them twice already this season. He allowed eight earned runs in 3 1/3 innings on April 26, but the Orioles rallied and he received a no-decision. Five days earlier, Lopez allowed one run over eight innings but was bested by Matt Clement, who tossed eight scoreless innings. Arroyo has been the glue in an inconsistent rotation this season. He was dealt his first loss in 18 starts last week against Toronto. The right-handed Arroyo looked rusty in his first start back from his six-game suspension, giving up six hits and five runs (two earned) over six innings in a loss to the Blue Jays. However, Arroyo, overall, has been a rock. This is his first start this season against the Orioles. In five career outings against Baltimore, Arroyo is 0-1 with a 5.27 ERA.
  3. We'd probably have to pin them to the top of the forum, but I don't think it would be too much work. I just don't know how cluttered it would be.
  4. Another quick inning for Wells. Only 9 pitches. This is phenomenal.
  5. Ok, it sounded like you really thought it was over and that was the final score.
  6. Interesting stat. Top 5 guys in order: 11-19 Bottom 4: 0-13
  7. Only 77 pitches through 7 for Wells. He's been extremely affective since the 1st inning.
  8. Renteria is from Columbia...
  9. Lineups Red Sox Damon CF Renteria SS Ortiz DH Ramirez LF Nixon RF Millar 1B Mueller 3B Shoppach C Bellhorn 2B Yankees Jeter SS Womack LF Sheffield RF Rodriguez 3B Posada C Matsui CF Williams DH Johnson 1B Sanchez 2B
  10. Yeah no way Derek Jeter's an *******, he's one of the classiest players out there. I don't see how you can say that Jeter's an *******.
  11. Yeah and he punched the clubhouse phone, must have been something in the St. Louis bullpen last year.
  12. Giants bolster their bullpen, while the Cubs get a few arms. Cubs receive: SP Jerome Williams SP David Aardsma Giants receive: RP Latroy Hawkins I say the price was a little high to trade for Hawkins. Williams and Aardsma both have potential.
  13. I didn't see it either, but I turned on the radio just in time to hear the post game and I literally couldn't stop laughing the whole ride home.
  14. The only curtain calls I remember in Boston were Nomar twice, once the game on his birthday when he hit 3 home runs, and the other time against Seattle when he had like 3 HR's and 10 RBI's so I think curtain calls are only after spectacular individual performances. Oh and the game I went to when Gabe hit like 2 HR's and 5 RBI's he got one too.
  15. Prior can't seem to catch a break, or always does.
  16. Yeah it was, it was blacked out in the Boston area but you probably should have been able to get it. Good thing we have Joe Buck and Tim McCarver broadcasting tomorrow.
  17. Embree should not pitch against RHH especially power hitters like Sheffield. It's amazing though, since he can make great lefties look silly like Matsui who was the next batter.

  19. 7:05 tonight. About 70 degrees with a 30% chance of isolated thunder storms. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/123801.jpg #49 Tim Wakefield (4-3 4.24) vs. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/116615.jpg #41 Randy Johnson (4-3 3.94) Wakefield will be making his 10th start of the year as the Red Sox open a three-game series with the Yankees. Wakefield faced New York in his first two starts of the season, allowing just three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits in 13 2/3 innings. However, he has lost his last two starts. Johnson looks to rebound after losing his last outing, when he allowed four runs in 6 2/3 innings against the Mets. After two straight starts on the road, the left-hander returns to the friendly confines of Yankee Stadium, where he has a 3.25 ERA in six starts -- nearly two runs lower than his 5.49 mark in three starts on the road.
  20. Yeah but I didn't include Independent League guys, then I'd put Henderson in the starting lineup.
  21. Alright so here's what I came up with. Some positions I couldn't come up with one and there are some players who I just dislike but I don't really know how they act off the field. C-Mike Piazza 1B-Kevin Millar 2B-Jeff Kent SS-? 3B- Alex Rodriguez OF-Barry Bonds OF-Gary Sheffield OF-Sammy Sosa DH-Carl Everett Bench-Milton Bradley Bench-Eric Byrnes SP-Curt Schilling SP-Kevin Brown SP-Randy Johnson SP-Carlos Zambrano SP-Sidney Ponson RP-?
  22. Clemens certainly doesn't, I think non Red Sox fans can see it in Pedro though. When I first saw the title of this thread I thought it was only active players so I decided to think of whom I would put on the list. I'm still pondering though and when I come up with it I will post it.
