    Estrada was expendable as they had Brian McCann who blossomed into a very good catcher in 2005.

    Yankee fans are crying foul over this one. Their argument is that all other teams "bend over" towards the Red Sox. For example they think that if they were interested in Loretta they would have to give up a package centered around their prized young players, Wang, Cano, Duncan and Hughes. While we get away with ONLY trading away our backup catcher. Quite comical if you ask me.

    I would of really liked to see Sean Casey in Boston, he seems to have a good personality while not in your face all the time like Millar, he is a very consistent hitter and is good in the field. Maybe we can get Pittsburgh to trade him.

    I was thinking more of Soriano in CF and then having Belliard at 2B for the Dominican. and I think Wells is stronger in CF than Johnny.

    Syracuse has already lost to Bucknell and Florida, McNamara hasn't looked like his normal self. I don't think they're the same without Warrick.

    Wow Baltimore and Miami just scored with less than 10 seconds left, and those were 2 picks I had different than at least YS, I don't know about anybody else, but he beats me in this contest if it's not for those 2 games. I'm 9-1 in straight picks after the early games.

    I don't see the Jets getting Bush. I think the Texans will lose out and nab him 1st. Leinart may be a possibility and then you could trade Pennington for some future draft picks.

    Why pay a guy 1 million if you are going to start him in AAA? Why would he sign here if we're going to start him in AAA. He had a 2.04 ERA after 6 straight seasons having an ERA over 4. Bringing in Eduardo Perez looks like you're bringing in Millar version 2 which is what we are trying to avoid. So I think we can survive if we don't bring these guys in.

    See this is where I don't get it, you say the Nets are looking terrible yet they have a better record than the Celtics right now.

    Whoa don't put words in my mouth, you are the one who was orgasming over Perkins because he has 1 good game. I at least admit when my team sucks, but every time the Celtics lose it's always the refs were bad because that's what Tommy said. The Celtics are not a good basketball team, biased or unbiased. I've said that Davis and Pierce are the only 2 above average and they are well above average in that. Jefferson has the potential but he's not there yet. It's when you start talking about how good Dickau, Scalabrine and Reed are is when I start to get suspicious.

    Yeah as I said in another thread or possibly this thread, I have the feeling that Minaya is still willing to give up both of them for Manny. I think Omar is serious about making a contender out of the Mets and the ownership has given him the ok to spend the money as they have their new TV network premiering soon.
