  1. The 3rd ranked offense in the AL is horrible. They need a major shakeup. We should trade for Eckstein, because he is scrappy. Jesus Christ, you are a bitch.
  2. Wow. Do you have to resort to spitting out overused, cliche "jokes?" Here's a fact that I am definitely right about. You are not funny. Dude, what you wrote was the most unintentional arrogant thing I've ever read. "I back it up with what I see, because I don't need numbers, and we're pretty close!!!!" I'm so f***ing sick of people who think they are above concrete evidence. Bill Plaschke thinks his eyes are superior to what actually is happening. You don't want to be Bill Plaschke, do you? I felt compelled to call you out, because you are guilty of incorrectly claiming things, that could be avoided had you spent one minute looking it up.
  3. No, O CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN, please.
  4. I'd pinch run for him, I see Timlin in the bullpen.
  5. JB, what do you think about giving Varitek a new contract?
  6. I think the average OPS for a 3B in the AL was .761 in 2007, I think Lowell can OPS between .770 - .810.
  7. On a side note, what the f*** happened to Cliff Lee?
  8. You really think Lowell will be hitting under the Mendoza Line? I definitely agree that Lowell won't match his 2007 batting line, but he'll be an above average 3B.
  9. And even with all that, the team is averaging 4.79 R/S a game. Good for 3rd in the AL. Ortiz won't be hitting this poorly all year, and neither will Lowell. They won't score 1000 runs, but they'll be in the top five in runs scored.
  10. Third in SLG% T-Third in OPS% T-Third in Runs
  11. Detroit got shut out twice in a row. I guess they look like Tigers, but growl like kittens lol! That's their real flaw. No team chemistry, no offense, but great pitching, though.
  12. I will. You are stupid.
  13. You can't be serious.
  14. I see why he comes after you. You totally missed his point. You claimed: He said, correctly, that the Red Sox had already won a championship with players that have flashes of effectiveness. Again, I ask you to show me where he defends Mike Timlin.
  15. I don't remember him ever defending Mike Timlin. Example?
  16. Awful pick. Stewart O'Nan should be hung for that piece of s*** he wrote. Stephen King writes about two pages. Johnny Damon should probably join them in the gallows. The book is all about how great he is. There are no interesting stories about the Red Sox, or anything interesting at all for that matter. I would recommend Moneyball, possibly the most important book ever written in baseball. Ball Four is another great pick. Inside the Numbers is a good book that was recently written. It's a look at new statistics, and how they're used. Some more I'd suggest: Juiced I Was Right On Time Bill James' Historical Baseball Abstract Eight Men Out
  17. I used to not hate the Rays when I just got NESN.
  18. Remember when this guy saved 80 straight?
  19. I hear Jon Switzer has some valuble MLB experience, he should get a look before Hansen, too.
  20. It hit the light tower on its way out, and still left the yard. http://mlb.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200804192556826
