  1. Probably looking at two similar players.
  2. Where do you get this information? Sounds like great stuff.
  3. I think he means optioning him down, but he's all out of them. I'd rather see him pitching in the 6th for now, until he can get some decent outings stringed together.
  4. I think the deep power alley in right-center are supressing his home run totals, as well. I agree with you about him being the best available player in 2007, we should all just accept that he's not going to be a 25 HR guy, and remember that he did hit a crucial grand slam against Carmona in Game 6. I'll give him a pass, he's doing about what I expected out of him.
  5. Good move by both teams. The Reds had a top flight prospect waiting in the wings, and got a good pitcher in return. It's too bad that the Reds hired Dusty Baker. Corey Patterson looks great in CF.
  6. Yeah, but Coco is settling in nicely as the 4th OF. Until we get a good offer for Crisp, I don't see anything wrong keeping him in that role. He and a pitching prospect could fill a hole at the trade deadline.
  7. Your wish has been granted. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/
  8. Two more scoreless, with two more strikeouts. He's done with the SAL. Time to go to Lancaster.
  9. Pena started the last three games, before sitting in today's game. He's hitting .364 this month, after coming off the DL with an injury. The Red Sox probably could have gotten Cueto, or Votto, if they wanted to wait for a prospect.
  10. I'll go with the Mirabelli trade. BTW, anyone look at Arroyo stats in 2008? 8.63 ERA in the NL? Chris Carter might be the best player out of the three.
  11. I'd give up anyone, save for Buchholz
  12. Dude, no one is saying stats are perfect. They're a hell of a lot better in predicting future events, than you going on a hunch. The stats point out that the Red Sox are likely going to hit the ball. s***, you don't even need the stats. Look at the players in the lineup. They're all pretty good hitters, right?
  13. I don't abuse people who don't care about stats. I abuse people who don't do any research, and then try to peddle their false claims off on everyone else. I especially hate it when they're confronted with concrete evidence, they say, "I DONT NEED STATS LOL I SEE IT ON THE FIELD!!! BEZIDEZ STATZ LYE!!!" You are guilty of this. That's too bad.
  14. Despite being showed stats that disprove your theory, you continue to rant about how terrible the Red Sox offense is, because, "STATS LYE LOL!" Dogmatic people should be called stupid. You are dogmatic, therefore, I'm calling you stupid.
  15. I'm guessing your lobotomy surgery was botched.
  16. It's because he pitches against the anemic Red Sox offense most of the time.
  17. Yeah, because the Globe runs on Pacific Standard Time.
  18. It kind of sucks to live without a frontal lobe, huh?
