CLEMENS: "I didn't do any of these things." MCNAMEE: "Tell me what I need to do Roger." CLEMENS: "Why would you tell everyone that I did steroids?" MCNAMEE: "Tell me what I need to do Roger." Now, I'm still not 100% convinced that Clemens is innocent, but these are fairly damning pieces of evidence to McNamee's character, and the truth of his statement.

I wouldn't call the Rangers retarded. How sure of a thing is Volquez? Is his potential as a number two or three starter worth more than Hamilton's potential a .300/.400/.500/.900 play in CF? Hamilton hit 19 homeruns in his first 300 AB's in the major leagues. He's an awfully good talent, and I wouldn't be surprised if he hits 30 HR's, if he gets to play everyday. Take into account that the Rangers were going to go with Marlon Byrd in CF, and David Murphy in RF. I think it's safe to say that Hamilton is, at least, a small upgrade over those two

I understand that it could piss Beckett off, but what will be the result of that? Is Beckett that fragile that his performance will suffer, because of Santana? If anything, it'll be a spring board for Beckett to get his $20 million a year.

Awful move. The Reds are going to invest 15% of their payroll into a pitcher who's going to throw about 70 innings. I could understand this if they had no holes elsewhere, and this was going to launch them over the top, but the Reds....?
