I wouldn't call Arroyo's demise as catastrophic as Williams' or even Bellhorn's. Williams was a great player, one of the main keys to the dynasty back through '96 to '00. Bellhorn really wasn't that important, and Arroyo was the number 5 guy.
The Yankees are an average team, with a good offense, and horrible starting pitching. They have nothing else that can replace these players. Bitch about Proctor? Who can replace him? Bitch about Posada? Who replaces him? I understand that you can sit Bernie down, but why throw him under the bus? Doesn't he deserve the same amount of loyalty and respect he's shown to the Yankees?
Since I don't personally build the Red Sox, I doesn't really mean that much if we don't win a World Championship. If we do, great I'll love every minute of it. If we don't, it won't bother me as much as it used to. I'm giving the Red Sox their deserved grace period, when it expires, then I'll start second guessing people, but they haven't given me a reason to.
