  1. Yeah, I dunno where he is, so I'll give my response. Sell! Trot Nixon is twice the player O'Neill ever was!
  2. Sarasox, I just read you post. I'm damn near positive it was his knees and not his ankles. Either way, the arthritis did not help.
  3. Oh my God, sheff, you are a f***ing retard. I'm guessing you weren't even alive in 1986. Bill Buckner had awful knees. They were worn down and just plain s*****. He had an impossibly difficult time. Johnny Mac left him in the game because he was a big part of the team and he wanted his core guys on the field when they won it all. So, arthritic knees and all, Buckner was in the game, he got a tough play that he bad knees did not allow him to properly make and the ball got through his legs. I'm also guessing that you had no idea that it was Game 6 in which that happened and the game was already tied anyway. You are a stupid f*** and I honestly cannot see you lasting more than 5 more minutes here with your blatant ignorance. Go f*** off now.
  4. Kevin Brown is an immature, selfish *******. Always has been, always will be. I wish nothing but bad things for the man, and this has nothing to do with him being a Yankee. Ever since I heard the story about his destroying a toilet with a bat, I've loathed him. The bastard probably beats his wife too. Stupid motherf***er.
  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! LOL
  6. Empire, we're gonna do a little "Buy or Sell". Buy or Sell Trot Nixon being the new Paul O'Neill. Thirty seconds to empire, go!
  7. 2-4 with a 2B and 2 K's tonight. Season Line: .234/.322/.460/.782; .35 (46/133) BB/K ratio; 24 2B, 21 HR, 64 RBI
  8. That doesn't really mean crap, they just want him to face live pitching to get his timing down. Why hasn't Trot gotten crap? Because he's been consistently healthy, in the lineup and producing good numbers for about 5 years now. Trot plays with everything he's got everyday. Everybody loves Trot and with good reason. I'm ecstatic to see that he's on his way back.
  9. You had your only real starting pitcher going tonight. I want to see you guys keep it up with Brown, Moose, Lieber, etc. before I become convinced that the Yankees are anything but a team with an offense that plays sub-.500 ball against good teams.
  10. Umm... Pavano has been fantastic this season and is probably going to get a big contract somewhere after the season. He's a former Sox prospect and was traded with Tony Armas Jr. to the Expos in 1997 for some Martinez guy.
  11. If there is any team that had a lot of fun playing baseball, it was the 2003 Red Sox. I don't buy Nomar bringing them down at all. I do buy Nomar bringing down the 2004 Red Sox, though, after that offseason.
  12. They've only got 5 games left, so he should finish the season on a positive note.
  13. Unless Sandy's real name is Victor, than it's not much of a move. He'll just act as the 3rd catcher in September.
  14. Shopp went 2-4 with a 2-R HR and K tonight. Season Line: .231/.320/.457/.777; .35 (46/131) BB/K ratio; 23 2B, 21 HR, 64 RBI He hit .267.375/.600/.975 with a .44 (12/27) BB/K, 7 2B and 6 HR. He also had a 7.3 PA/BB and 2.78 AB/K.
  15. Things that suck: The Yankees starting rotation The Yankees offense The Yankees defense The Yankees bullpen Mike Myers (who was unable to get out Anaheim's AAA team) Things that rock: The Red Sox starting rotation The Red Sox offense The Red Sox defense The Red Sox bullpen (minus Mike Myers) Victor Martinez, Jake Westbrook, Coco Crisp and Omar Vizquel (among others) for their tremendous efforts in tonight's footba... I mean baseball game at Yankee Stadium
  16. If by "win by 4", you mean "lose by 16", then I agree.
  17. Not everybody is perfect every time, but he truly does have a very good changeup. One game doesn't mean a whole lot.
  18. An hour and forty-five minutes until the first pitch. I'm twitching with anticipation! I'd hate to see myself when they play the Yankees soon!
  19. Smells like a victory tonight, boys and girls.
  20. This man is absolutely amazing.
  21. Shopp went 2-3 with a 2B, HBP, RBI and 2 R. Season Line: .228/.319/.448/.767; .35 (46/130) BB/K ratio; 23 2B, 20 HR, 61 RBI
  22. Texas is quickly fading, while the Angels show no signs of slowing down. It's between us and them for the Wild Card, unless we catch the Yanks, of course. The Angels are playing way over their heads right now, they've been facing some bad teams and have been lucky to escape poor starting pitcher performances with offense. That won't happen when they come here on Tuesday.
  23. I don't agree with that at all. If anything, his changeup is his best pitch. Most scouts rate it a 60 or 70 on the 20-80 scouting scale.
  24. Shopp went 1-4 with a 2B and K tonight. Season Line: .225/.314/.444/.758; .35 (46/130) BB/K ratio; 22 2B, 20 HR, 60 RBI
