  1. That's awesome, Adam. I would think that Sickels would like Pedroia; he's always been a performance-first guy.
  2. I say she'd look better between my sheets.
  3. Care to explain, or do you just feel like random dickheaded comments today?
  4. Kevin Youkilis is the man. Nice play. Oh, and... f*** TIM WAKEFIELD!
  5. He should definitely be in the bullpen for the playoffs. I think it's safe to say that Bronson has locked up the #3 starter spot while Lowe and Wake are battling to be that one guy who starts Game 4 and never gets another start the entire series.
  6. Excuse me, make that two doubles and two runs. OK, who's this guy on the mound the last two months and what has he done with Tim Wakefield? WTF, mate? Oh where, oh where has 2002 Tim Wakefield gone? Oh where, oh where can he be?
  7. OH MY GOD!!! MANNY STOLE THIRD!!!!!!! GO MANNY!!!!!!!
  8. A double and run in his first at-bat. Oh yeah, he's back.
  9. All I can say is, "Thank God Christopher Trotman Nixon is in the lineup tonight."
  10. That you for your brilliant two word insight. I'm so glad you watched the game tonight to inform me of what happened. Goddamnit, I am really f***ing sick of you.
  11. So, you have no statistics or facts to prove your point, so you're going to resort to stupidty. By all means, go ahead. What if he goes 0 for his next 1,000,000,000; will you still want him based upon this one at-bat? Besides, that hit came of Chris George and his 8.00+ ERA. I'm impressed.
  12. He pitched a damn fine game, but he walked 3 guys and there were several times that he pitched out of jams. Damon got caught stealing, Millar got picked off at 2B and there were two GIDP's with runners on. If those had been different situations, Kazmir could have had the same number of IP's as ER's. I was very impressed with how he got out of those jams, though, and that is what seperates him from the rest of the pack. I am not denying that he is a good young pitcher, but he needs to be more consistent with the number of guys he allows on base.
  13. Nobody doubted he had the stuff and ability to be an ace at some point down the line. He's one of the top 3 pitching prospects in the game; what we doubted was his ability to control his stuff at this stage of his career, as evidenced by the 13 walks in 16 innings leading up to this game. Even in this game, he was a bit off. He did give up a good deal of baserunners, but GIDP's and baserunning stupidity grounded the Sox. I swear to God, you are awful at judging young talent and interpreting what we are talking about in young players. Nobody ever said Kazmir wasn't a fantastic young talent. What we said was that he's not quite ready for the Show yet. One game (or the one Navarro at-bat that you jerk off to) will not convince me of that. Players are not to be judged on one game or one at-bat.
  14. No, I will not admit to a lie. Dioner Navarro is not a hell of a player. He had a .676 OPS in AAA and a .723 in AA. He had 4 combined homeruns. His slugging percentage was a measly .365. He wouldn't even be David Eckstein at the big league level. DIONER NAVARRO IS NOT GOOD. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TELL YOU ANY OTHER WAY!
  15. I love the new thread title!
  16. I rarely scream at the television during a game, especially one against Tampa, but let me tell you, I was screaming, "GET OUT! GET OUT!" at that ball Trot just hit. I love this guy.
  17. Kazmir hasn't been at all efficient, but we are making him look brilliant by K'ing with two runners on, GIDP or getting picked off at 2B. Sloppy, sloppy game on all sides of the ball.
  18. Matt Morris is going to pitch in New York next year, either in Flushing Queens or the Bronx. Besides the point, he's retardedly overrated. He's given up more homeruns than he has starts this season. That's disaster in Fenway. His control has also been suspect and he's going to command top dollar. No thanks. If the Sox want Odalis Perez, he's a lock to be in a Sox uniform next season. He loves Boston, the players and the organization. He worked with Dave Wallace in LA and he's friends with our Dominican All-Stars. That, of course, hinges on whether or not Sox brass wants him. He would be a nice lefty to break things up. I like Matt Clement. His K rates are a good indicator of how well he'd do in Fenway. Pavano scares me a little more. His K/9 is barely over 5. For a right-hander, that's not very good. Jaret Wright is another intriguing name, but how cheap will he be (he'd get the "wow" money) and will John Schuerholz let him go? I'm really not willing to take a chance on this guy unless we hire Leo Mazzone in some capacity. Personally, I would re-sign Pedro and bring in Clement. We don't need the lefty that badly and they will demand similar contracts. Keeping Clement out of the Bronx is pivotal. That would give us a Pedro-Schill-Clement-Arroyo-Wake rotation next season. Actually, upon further review, I'd more Wakefield to the bullpen and bring in Perez as well.
  19. That is the most retarded analysis I have ever heard. Duh, he's going to hit some, it's not like he's not going to get a hit all season. He's just not competent enough to hit a lot. He's also not enough of a defender to justify keeping the guy around on a roster.
  20. And if any team knows how to make that 1.2% chance happen, it's the Red Sox.
  21. Yeah, Navarro is so much better than Shoppach. I mean, Navarro only hit 18 fewer homeruns, with 3 of his 4 homers coming at AA. What am I thinking? Hanley Ramirez only slugged 150 points higher at the same level in similar time. Am I nuts? Of course Navarro is God.
  22. You honestly do have no idea what you are talking about, do you?
  23. Only Perez, because the Sox system gets no credit. I swear, the Futures Game is all hype. Kelly Shoppach should have been there over Koyie Hill, Hanley over Andres Blanco and Juan Cedeno over Perez, the other Sox choice. They are all much better prospects than the others listed.
  24. Juan Perez made it too and he sucks. I have a lot of issues with a lot of the guys on the World and US teams. Those games are always just a lot of hype with a little substance. Hell, Baseball America picks the teams and they can be a very sketchy hype-machine in their own right.
