    Ok, so DiceK's got some issues. But the Sox won. Lets leave his pitching problems to the experts and hope for better returns next time out. His ERA's aleady f***ed, so lay off the guy for a start or two. I'm sure he'll be better. I am 100% confident in this. After the first, he was good.

    Well, that wasn't too bad. Now he's at 44 pitches for 2 innings. A couple more innings like that and he could still go 7.

    The guy's got issues with control pitching out of the stretch. So far he's putting up some of the weirder numbers I've ever seen. 35 pitches, 1 hit, 5 runs. And Lugo has to have a big night now. 2 errors?

    Well, got it fixed. And I just realised something... I'm getting Extra Innings this year for FREEE!!!!!!!!!! So it went from no baseball at all because of the Direct TV deal to free Extra Innings all year!!!! Woohoo! All in about a month's time too!

    This is one of those reverse Yankee/Red Sox series where everything you think should happen happens in reverse. So it only makes sense that somehow tomorrow Tavarez pitches like 5 shutout innings and Wang gets lit up by someone like Pedroia. :dunno: I can't explain it, but it happens every year. I don't understand how anyone could actually bet on baseball. Too much weird s*** happens.

    I think the entire bullpen will be ready for tonight (thanks DiceK!). Maybe not Timlin but then again.. Today is a must win for the Sox if you ask me. Tomorrow is a gimme game. Keep Snyder and Timlin for tomorrow and blow the rest of the pen tonight if need be. Get 6 outa Wake today then go Romero/Donnelly/Okajima/Paps

    I guess that's the point. If he'd fired Torre after last year, everyone would have understood why. To do it now would seem desperate.

    Firing Torre would be reactionary, short sighted, and it wouldn't solve the problem of the Yanks starting rotation. Hey, the Sox had an off year last year and seem to be back stronger this year. Same could be going on with the Yanks. Firing Torre doesn't fix anything. He's overusing his bullpen because he has to (outside of using Pettitte in relief in real games which he should stop doing). He's gone after this year anyway, so why now? If the Yankees make the post season there is no way they are able to win the WS anyway. The pitching - team wide - is just not good enough. I will say, as a Sox fan, not seeing Torre in NY would make the Yanks seem even weaker. Once he and Mo and Jeter and Stienbrenner are gone, I'll be a happy man.
