Miller's got to be more effective with his pitch count. He's always at 100 by the 6th inning.
This year, in 39.1 innings, he's thrown a whopping 683 pitches which averages out to 17.4 pitches per inning.
He has been MUCH better at Fenway though: 2-0, 2.55 ERA, 20 hits in 24.2 innings, 16K, 9BB and a .220 BAA.
But again, in 4 starts there he's only pitched an average of 6 innings. The good news is that in 2 of his last 3 starts he's gone 7 innings, so maybe he's getting more comfortable. :dunno:
