  1. f*** yeah. Next cap=baseball!
  2. I laughed a few times. Damon can moonwalk??? It was funny how the Sox guys went completely out of their way to show themselves as straight. Wake had the funniest line. That carson guy said something like "You know, some people think you're cute." and Wake replied "Yeah, people like you..." I guess it was the delivery, but it was a total insult. Hillarious!
  3. SWEEEEET I just looked at the radar. That last bit should pass in a half hour. http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_stl_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg
  4. I'd guess the Sox will activate the Belli for this weekend. It's been "10-14" days already. It's been 18 actually. According to ESPN, he hurt himself swinging a David Ortiz bat. I jammed my fingre a few days ago and hav'ent missed a day of wokr. Lukciily it hasnt' affetcted my tying;;p
  5. The game was scheduled to start at 6pm in St. Louis so they can probably drag it out until 9pm there (10pm east coast time).
  6. This is really awesome. When I was growing up, I always thought of him as a local star but never really as a Hall Of Fame guy. I don't know why... Probably because I didn't get to watch the last half of his career. Congrats to Cam. Too bad nobody cares about the NHL.
  7. Wow. Never thought I'd see the day where I would actually defend the guy, but here goes. Bellhorn is a freak. He really is. Wasn't he like the best offensive 2nd baseman last year in a lot of categories? He's certainly good for 15 HRs a year if he plays full time. I have him figured out. The guy, like almost all MLB hitters, can hit a fastball over the plate. Anything, including fastballs, off the plate he takes. It really is uncanny how well he does this. The problem is when a pitcher can throw something other than a fastball for a strike. He can't hit anything but a fastball over the plate. Period. If you can throw a slider over, he's going to K or pop up. He's not a gold glove 2nd baseman, but he can turn the DP and throw accurately to 1b. Actually, I can't remember the last bad throw he's made (and that's with Millar at first). There is no way that Todd Walker is a better second baseman defensively. The strike outs kill, but you also know he's going to get on base once or twice a game and from the number 9 slot, that's damn good. HE SHOULD NEVER LEAD OFF. EVER. He's quiet, makes next to peanuts and is a team player. If he could bat .270 and K less, I'd actually be quite happy with him. The more significant problems with this team include: Not having Schilling. His return, if he's close to being as effective as last year, will stablize the entire rotation. The starters will all improve. The bullpen will not be overused (except in Wells starts) and will be more effective too. Wells. Fatboy is no better than a #5. I was completely wrong in assessing him over the winter. The guy sucks monkey nutz and should be released if Schilling comes back healthy. The fat f***. I hope he chokes on a donut, the ex-Yankee bastard. Manny. He is really starting to worry me. I'm sure he'll come around, but maybe this is life without steriods. :dunno: Or is he "unhappy" again? Renteria. He has got to make the adjustment to the AL. I'll give him time, but he just doesn't look like a 10 million dollar player. Question: You have two outs in the 9th, bases loaded, tying run on 3rd. Who would you rather see at the plate? Renteria or Bellhorn?
  8. Yeah, I'm calling a sweep here. Fatboy's gonna get pounded.
  9. Millar in CLEANUP!!! :harhar:
  10. I've always stood by Bellhorn :wetodd:.
  11. Jesus Christ. Hanson already has Scott Boras as his agent.
  12. One thing to remember is all 6 of our starters are signed through next year, so it's not like we have to go out and get another starter if they stay healthy. Trot, Tek, Manny, Rent are all signed too. The only places to fill will be CF, 3B, 2B and 1B and some bench players. Of all those positions, barring anybody coming back, CF will be the hardest to fill. I'd like to see Mueller sign a 1 year extension, but that's just me.
  13. Have you guys forgotten how all this goes down??? Damon has Boras who "wants" 5years and 50+ million dollars. The Red Sox will negotiate him down some. Meanwhile, Piere and any other decent CF will sign by December meaning the Sox will HAVE to pay Damon and Boras the money or be stuck with nothing in CF. That's how the guy makes a living. Personally, I think Damon gets a Tek type contract. 4/40.
  14. Sad I guess. But I really feel that way. Mulligans all around! Embree too!
  15. Who else smells a sweep? A little payback? Oye.
  16. The Longest Day is on cable. Uhhh .
  17. Nice. Nice. Nice. Yeszir should add that font family to the fonts listed in the drop down on the message page. All of us who download and install them will be able to see them!
  18. based on the schedule and if nobody misses a start, it looks like Wakefield for Sunday, July 10.
  19. I stand by Embree - until the trade deadline.
  20. Millar!!!!!!!!!! You f***ing Bitches.
  21. The game's not over yet. They still gotta get 6 outs from us.
  22. Atlanta has the Mets/Giants game too....
  23. yeah, you missed it. That game was about 4 years ago.
