A lovely win tonight. Saved Go and Mo from throwing, and a big win overall. Wright was just throwing smoke all day, biting back over the inside half to lefties. Really dominating performance. Quite encouraging.

I think I threw up when I read that lineup. Yep, it's all over the floor. PS- day off, Jeter's fine.

Even if it comes down to both teams playing the game at the end of the season, I would imagine we'd see the Triple A White Sox on the field for the game, all but assuring the win for Boston.

Reason number 23,020,526 that John Kruk should be taken out to pasture and sent the way of ol' yeller. I didn't see the game today, fortunately. Johnson sucked again, and it's getting annoying. He needs his mechanics worked out, because I am positive that is the cause. A slider shouldn't go from out of this world to homerun ball in a year. Our best bet is to call up Billy Connors and let him go through a session with Johnson and see what the problem is. My guess is he's dropping his arm angle down too much, taking the bite away from his slider and robbing him of velocity. But hey what do I know? At least KC bailed us out by beating Oakland. We need to keep an eye on the Guardians now, though.

I sincerely doubt anyone would take a flyer on him. Too much controversy around him.

Damn, you stole my thunder Papi! hahaha I think he needs a break anyway. Tino's been hitting the ball rather solid of late, and we all know he brings better defense so it won't kill us to see him sit for a few games. This is where we DH Bernie and start Crosby in center. Please get the message, Joe.

I dealt with that at the one game I went to this year, they sat right next to me. As long as you are respectful you won't have any problems. Have fun at the game. -
Repeating the mantra I've heard from a few other Yankee fans, take the division because I want these guys in the first round. How about some dap for Chacon? He's been a stud since we rescued him from Colorado.

He's going to have to build up his velocity and get his split biting, or instead of being ineffective for an inning, he'll be ineffective for 5. At least he gets a minor league start against KC before pitching against a real team.

Mussina looked vintage his last couple of starts, turning it on down the stretch.

Keith Foulke hurt in throwing session

With a screen it takes away from your normal pitching habits, and since Foulke is rehabbing it can be detrimental to his comeback. Freak accident, but he should be ok. Although, we'll see how 'ok' he is when he gets back to pitching against healthy big league hitters. -

This is nice. I think I should be put into the drawing because the last 5 Yankee games I've been to, the Yankees have lost, and I'm sure that bodes well for you guys. Seriously though, I know most people here have been able to put up with me. I've done my best to get along with you guys, and many have reciprocated that to me. It's pretty much a consensus among anyone I know that I'm one of the biggest Yankee fanatics they know. I love the rivalry, and I know I'd have a blast at the game and put the tickets to good use, with a lady friend or another fan from either side of this rivalry. Hell maybe even somebody from the site. And I would definitely not miss the game for anything if I won, so no worries about that. Good luck to all, and honestly thanks a lot Cape.

Just pointing out that guys could be stretching the truth when it comes to steroids, even people we would tend to trust. And s*** yeah I want Damon to be suspended, we need to make up some ground! Plus it would make for great heckling at the Stadium. I really don't wish it to be anybody, I don't want it to come out that anyone was cheating. However, if I had to pick people on the Red Sox and Athletics would be the place I'd start.

This would be a nice series to make up some ground. Have to get that bad taste of Tampa Bay simply owning us this year.

I know its not the worst thing in the world. If you are a pro athlete though, I don't think you should mention that. Kids have these guys as role models, and to make it seem ok to do those things is a bad example to be setting.

Nah, he was right on the plate it could've been argued either way more or less. A check swing isn't nearly as damaging as blowing a call at the plate (like how Tino was safe last night). Yeah, I was pissed at that guy. Dumbass

They could come up with a call far worse than that later that costs us the game. Can't let the umps off the hook because they gave us something borderline. It wasn't one of those blatantly obvious things.

If Leiter was going to give the bullpen a break, the game would have to be rained out after 5 innings. In the dome.
