  1. I'm not going to hate on him, but I hate when some athletes get that treatment and others don't. He knows how to play the FO, so more power to him.
  2. On the topic of game threads, perhaps you guys should put in a post game thread. If somebody wants to discuss the game itself when it ends, I think it would be easier to do there. It would be a better alternative than trying to read through 15 pages of 'PAPI!!!!!!!!!' to find some meaningful discussion. They have that at the NY Rangers forum I go to, and it works well.
  3. Oh, and DEATH TO RUUTU. I'm going to kill that man.
  4. It was a goal, but I'm shedding no tears for the poor Canadians. The Swiss look like the only team that really wants to win this tournament. The favorites are playing bad hockey. Could be the Finns, they're beating the Czechs 4-2 and could clinch a spot today.
  5. Nate winning would be the highlight of our season
  6. Ryan Miller would've been a huge difference for that team.
  7. I'm going down to Florida this summer on a road trip, hopefully I'll visit the Trop. Summer is gonna be fun.
  8. hahhaha, that's the best picture in history.
  9. PASS. One of the most over-talked about athletes ever.
  10. Somehow I don't think it took an 81 point game for teams to realize they need to shut down Kobe. The problem is they can't. Kobe is a fantastic scorer, and there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe if he had some legitimate passing options on his team he'd have more assists. The fact that he can take over a game and win it by himself, that's unbelievable.
  11. Devil Rays fans. They're the ones smart enough not to show up to games.
  12. Act now! http://cgi.ebay.ca/Slightly-Used-Washed-up-Habs-Goalie-Jose-Theodore_W0QQitemZ7216762273QQcategoryZ79765QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. Rangers had a good old fashioned ass-whomping of Ottawa last night, to pull within 3 points of second in the conference. Jagr is the best player in the league, Lundqvist is statistically the best goalie in the league with Legace of Detroit. The key to their success has been the 3rd and 4th lines and the PK. Just amazing to watch how they can control a game. Jason Ward was the first star last night, and has been outstanding. Best of all, today I saw 3 separate people wearing Rangers stuff today on the buses/subways in the city. This is the most I've seen since.. ever. It feels good to be a Ranger fan, finally.
  14. Yo shut up, I'm trying to intimidate the entire country of Italy.
  15. Pedro Martinez wanted the ball in 2003, that didn't end well. Is he a winner because he blew that game?
  16. We'll kick their asses. Becks is probably the Jeter of soccer. Pretty good player, adored by women for his looks and by men because of his ability.
  17. You have the best one RedSoxRooter, sorry everyone else.
  18. They only rattled off 7 straight wins, and won the Super Bowl as a 6 seed. No way they'd beat the Patriots. Wait, let me guess. You were one of the fans who attended this- http://www.theonion.com/content/node/44616
  19. Cool, I got something.
  20. I believe you win.
  21. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal_Canadiens 26 + 24 = 50
  22. 50 championships between those two teams. That's sick.
  23. Ah yes, the first 3 games don't count at all either. Nor does the series winning hit he had against the Twins the series prior. No, only the games they lost count.
  24. Unless the regular season doesn't matter, he won an MVP award. He makes great plays in the field and had an ass load of big hits during the year. If you want to have selective memory, that's fine. But he is nowhere as bad as you try to make him out to be. Last year he didn't play well in the playoffs, period. One series was all he had, and he didn't prove himself. Jeter, Bernie, Tino, et al. have all had bad postseasons (that lasted more than 5 games).
