  1. Thanks buddy.
  2. Gotta get to this bullpen.
  3. That was awesome. Barrett rules.
  4. Jeter's line from last night, 4-5 (2B, HR), 4 RBI, 3 Runs scored, BB, SB .349 AVG, .922 OPS At this point I don't care if you guys don't think he's clutch. He's one of the best players in baseball this season.
  5. I picture this guy looking like Steve Buscemi in Billy Madison.
  6. So.. who counts as "the greatest active postseason player" ? Ortiz, with his 3 playoff appearances? Name me someone more deserving than Jeter.
  7. I don't get that one. I saw ESPN was all over his jock strap during the preseason. Why in the hell was he picked for MVP? I'll never understand sportswriters.
  8. Yeah, there is no way Pedro should be booed. I understand booing Damon, booing Wells. It's the rivalry, and that take precedence over just about all other circumstances. Short of that, there's no reason to boo Pedro.
  9. hahaahahhaahhaahhaahhahahahahha... Blocked. The Yankees have enough firepower to handle the losses to the outfield corners. If two key pitchers were out, I'd be far more worried. But we've got enough offensive ability to go around. If you can survive with Alex Gonzalez in the lineup, we can live with Melky Cabrera.
  10. Wasn't this a topic like, three months ago? The Yankees will survive with Melky and Bubba in the outfield for the time being. It's nice to watch some kids play good defense. Jason, Alex, Cano and Jorge will handle RBI duties for the time being. The Yankees will not crash and burn with these losses, especially if we keep getting this kind of pitching.
  11. There's no excuse, the Yankees shouldn't be losing to a team like the Red Sox the way they are playing. Inconsistency has been the name of the game for the Bombers thus far, but they still should not be losing games like this. What was up with the wind yesterday? Giambi and Jeter smoked balls that only got to the warning track. Ortiz goes out to dead center. It was very weird.
  12. Wow, you should definitely look into politics. Your forte seems to be vapid, meandering statements like the ones outlined above. You must be a graduate of the finest Elementary School the Public School System has to offer.

  17. Crosby is supposed to be in right today (as per the NY Daily News), so the defense should be ok. I think anything less than a sweep for the Yankees would be a disappointment. The Yankees are playing better in nearly every aspect thus far and need to capitalize on this opportunity.
  18. I share similar doubts about Clemens. Any way you cut it the guy old, and when was the last time a guy did better in the AL than he did in the NL? I'm wary about Rocket.
  19. Their point is that Hughes will be put on the team when he's ready as a starter, and only a starter. Hughes is still a year or two away in my opinion, no need to rush him. He's going to be a hell of a player.
  20. I'm dying to see what Ottawa can do against the Devils if they meet eachother. Two different yet effective styles of play. I think the Senators would win that series. Buffalo is playing out of their minds, but I think they are just a notch below the top teams. That said I would not be surprised to see them make the ECF. The Rangers and Flyers got f***ed by the Olympics, Rangers moreso. Philadelphia wasn't that good of a team this season, and for whatever reason had a good record. They were +8 on Goals for/against, whereas the Rangers were +42. The Rangers were 10-1-1 before the Olympics started, and have gone 9-14-3 since then. Injuries caught up to them. Losing your leading scorer, top goaltender and top defensemen often leads to problems as well. My eulogy for the Rangers is largely positive despite the disappointing finish. They got valuable experience for a lot of players (like Lundqvist, Prucha, Tyutin. Ortmeyer and Hollweg) and are building an impressive core for the future. Korpikoski (F), Staal(D) and Montoya(G) are all young blue chippers who can contribute in the near future.
  21. Umm, Ovechkin had 52 goals on a team with NOBODY around him and was third in the NHL in points. Crosby should be third or fourth at best. Dion Phaneuf, Cristobal Huet and Henrik Lundqvist all deserve serious consideration.
  22. I've got tickets to Game 1 in Jersey. Tickets for the Garden sold out in minutes, but tickets have been on sale in Jersey for about a week now and I was able to buy them last night. Devil fans are pathetic. As for the series it should be a classic. Lundqvist and Brodeur both have the ability to take over a series. I'm pretty confident that the Rangers will get their act together and win it in 6. Colin White may sit out, which would be a huge edge for the Rangers, as he is a key defensive player when it comes to the Devils shutting down Jagr. If the Rangers can stop the Elias, Gomez, Gionta line then the Devils have no offense. I really cannot wait.
  23. If this guy is healthy, http://www.photofile.com/Photos/Photos_Of_The_Day/05_10_26/Thumbs/05LundqvistHenrik02.jpg I like the Rangers chances. I can't wait for the playoffs to start.
  24. If we were to acquire Hunter, I'd be more in favor of Matsui moving to right and Damon to left, considering Matsui can at least reach the infield cutoff man. I wouldn't go after Hunter though.
  25. f*** Willis. Over-rated. I'll take my chances with Hughes on the Yankee staff of the future.
