Don't be putting this kid in Mariano's class. He's had a fantastic start to one season. Let's see where he is 10 years from now before we compare him to Mo. He could turn out to be Brad Lidge. Edit- Oh, and don't give me this crap about the 'poor Sox' lineup. The Yankees had Bernie Williams, Terrance Long and Andy Phillips rounding out their order. Deal with it. -
But I thought headhunting was wrong? Don't kid yourself, Clemens scared Ramirez shitless in that AB. I don't blame him, Clemens is a scary dude. That's probably the biggest reason I'd want Clemens back on the Yankees, because he's one of the few guys who has the balls to knock down Ortiz. Intimidation works.

Sorry to dig this up, but I never commented on it and thought it was still relevant. Anyway, that point is ridiculous. Ortiz is not going to kill the Yankees anymore than he already does. The risk-reward for the Yankees at this standpoint is very clear. Either Ortiz gets buzzed and gets uncomfortable, or Ortiz gets buzzed and nothing happens. It's worth a shot. Clemens threw inside to Manny during the Zimmer-Pedro game, and he was flailing away the rest of the game. Stuff like that works. And on a side note, it would be a good means for Randy to reestablish himself. He needs to put his foot down and say enough is enough. Personally, I LOVE Ortiz as a player and a person. He is easily one of my favorites outside of the Yankees. But it is irresponsible of the Bombers to let him sit there and hit without a worry in his head.

He hasn't gotten much work of late anyway, he needs to start getting consistent innings. The fact that his command is picking up is very encouraging. The bridge looks a little rickety right now, but Dotel is around the corner.

I was "that guy" at the game today. You would have never known the Met fans were ahead during the game, judging by how much they reacted to me. That was an awesome time. Hey, I wasn't expecting Small to pitch well, and he did a respectable job. Bean finally got a shot and did well. Erickson didn't look bad either. Saved Rivera, Farnsworth and Proctor for the series with some real significance this week. While the loss is annoying, it is hardly one to get worked up over.

Hopefully Farnsworth is ok. Man we miss Sturtze . I would prefer to rest Mariano and Proctor for the important series, you know against Boston. Let's just go out and hammer Glavine, and make it easy on Small and the bullpen. Upper Deck section 25 baby! Can't wait.

There was no need for Varitek to get involved with A-Rod. He didn't make a move towards Arroyo. Varitek could have kept quiet, and let the other guys.. you know the ones involved.. settle it. But whatever, I really don't care about that. Pierzynski is a prick, and pricks get punched in the face from time to time. He had what was coming to him.

In the first 9 innings, both teams were equally as bad, hence the 4-4 score. In innings 10-11, the Mets were bad and the Yankees weren't. They deserved to win, by virtue of scoring more runs. It's an ugly game, but don't kid yourself. The Yankees deserved to win the game.

Hahahha, I can't wait to see how bitter Met fans are if Buckeye is how a Sox fan is acting. Great game to win, this should spring some confidence for a couple of weeks.
