    I don't think it's a good move at this point. He's played what 8 games with the team? Considering the whole arbitration thing that could have happened over the course of this contract, I don't think it was a good move. Give him a full season with the team, then look the extend him.

    Zito will follow Peterson back to the Mets next year. It makes sense from every standpoint. I'm not big on Zito, he's never been a big game pitcher, and those are the guys the Yankees and Sox chase.

    My Red Devils are making a real run at Chelsea. 2-1 win over Bolton coupled with Chelsea's 0-0 draw puts them just 7 points back with another match with the leaders this season. If they could steal the League, well that would be awesome. And are the Bhoys kicking ass or what?

    Good call. I know I don't react to well to getting hit either, and at 135 pounds I doubt anyone will accuse me of steroids. While we all know Bonds is done, it is an interesting point he brings up. The leaked Grand Jury testimony is illegal. It was sealed. There was no reason for the public to have it. Nobody seems to care about the fact that the information was not to leave the court. I don't know, but something feels wrong there.

    They weren't banned by baseball, so there isn't much you can do. If Sheffield really did inject, he lost all credibility in my book. You all know I gave him the benefit of the doubt after reading the October 2004 SI Article, but if he did that I can't excuse him. I at least hope that he hasn't been doing this crap in the Bronx, but who knows. That said he still is on my team, and I want him to do well. If he went Giambi's route (I f***ed up, I'm sorry, and I won't do it again) then I'd be more apt to accept him. But I think Sheff's ego is way too big to do that.

    Moose will be ok, if he's healthy he can still win 16 or 17. If Pavano produces I think they'll be a real powerhouse. RJ looks good so far and Chacon looks like he's picking up where he left off. I'm encouraged thus far.

    Let's chill about predicting who wins the division until after free agency, the draft, minicamps and preseason, eh? Abraham deal is about the best the Jets could do. I think that they will have a lot of options on draft day, and it will be fun to see how they shake out.

    See I think bandwagon and uninformed fall into the same category. There might be a Royals fan who can only name Mike Sweeney, and knows little to nothing about the game. I'd put him into that same group of 'stupid baseball fans'. That's just my opinon, it's pretty much semantics.

    This is why I think people are f***ing retarded. There are bandwagon, fairweather, casual... whatever the f*** you want to call them.. fans for EVERY FRANCHISE IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS. Saying 'half your fans are just there because you win all the time' or whatever, is garbage. Complete garbage. Just because a group has 'fans' who don't know the game as much as you do, does not make a fan base less intelligent. Mainly because again, every team has people like that. Gah, I'm just tired of that s***. By the way it's especially dumb to ostracize Yankee fans in general here, considering the ones you are directly debating with are obviously informed enough to at least hold intelligent conversation. I realize that you probably don't mean to insult us in particular, but imagine somebody walks up to you and says "oh yeah, all (ethnic group) are f***ing useless and stupid." That'll probably get under your skin. Just keep that in perspective, and try to think a little bit before you hit that reply button.

    Yeah, I'm slightly skeptical of Leinart for the same reasons. That is also who Cutler has flown up the draft charts, because he's been in a losing program and still performed.
