    LOL UR SO SAMRT! DUM YANKEEZ FANS! Cashman has made a lot of good moves, especially since he's been given control of the team by Steinbrenner. I don't think Epstein has made as many good moves since the end of their championship season. So yes, I think Cashman has been a better GM the last two seasons.

    I can't help but wonder what kind of player he'll be when he's 38 at the end of the contract. It's tough to maintain ability when a lot of it is built on speed. Thankfully he's got other assets.

    I picked up Lee Evans last week because I was short a receiver on my fantasy team. This week everyone is healthy, so I let him go and pick up a TE because Tony Gonzalez was hurting. Then Lee Evans goes and gets 205 yards receiving and 2 TD's... in the FIRST QUARTER! I think I'll win this week anyway, I've still got LT waiting in the wings tonight.

    It was either let Sheff walk for nothing, or get three young pitchers back. I'll take the pitchers. Sheffield is an amazing hitter, but wasn't a necessary part for the '07 Yankees and was expendable.

    National League to American League makes the Yankees weary, despite the fact his stuff should transfer over pretty well. Also, Mussina has proved he can handle NY. Schmidt saying he prefers the West Coast says to me that he's shying away from the big time NY media.

    American League was a runaway win for Verlander, NL was much closer. 3 of the top 4 NLers were from the Marlins.

    I'd be wary of a Japanese infielder after watching how Kaz panned out. The guy was supposed to be elite, and quite simply could not play shortstop. Third base is just as difficult, if not more difficult. I'd be cautious, especially with Aramis Ramirez on the market.

    Well she was in the car with him, and I think she was rubbing one of Pavano's few unbroken bones prior to the accident. I swear though, it is so entertaining cracking jokes about my friend and his cousin.

    They won't reject the offer, that won't be an issue. They either keep him for a year, and then get nothing for him, or let him walk now and get between $ 20 and $30 million. No contest.

I want a new subforum about MLB policies, so we can keep all that useless crap there, and keep these forums about baseball, and what happens directly regarding baseball. I don't want to read pages and pages of why the current philosophy of baseball is wrong. Speaking of Mike Mussina...

    Ok, spelling class. Andy Pettitte. Not Pettite, Petitte, or Petite. Sorry, it's been a while since I've been able to correct someone on that. I'm in favor of Pettitte as our 5th starter. He'll be a helluva lot better than Wright or Lidle were. And if he gets hurt midway through the year, he opens the door for Phil Hughes. Sign Andy. Keep Moose at the 2 year $20 million. Wang, Mussina, Matsuzaka, Johnson and Pettitte. Do it, Cashman.
