I've never even been to calee-fornia, so take this advice with a grain of salt, but I distinctly remember someone calling Dodger stadium something along the lines of "the purest baseball shrine I have ever seen." I even think it was a Boston sports writer, who said that Dodger stadium, despite its 1960s-ishness was better than Fenway when it comes to watching baseball.
Of course, if you'd rather see good baseball, go watch the LA Angels of Aneheim. Sitting anywhere is fun really in most parks, especially when you havent been. And there are no obstructed views to worry about.
