One of the reasons this season could get even more frustrating----when you think about games like last night, the oppo walkoffs and the 1 run record for the season, this Red Sox team could actually be right at first place, not scuffling as the 3rd WC in AL.    

Just a few improvements early on and this team coulda been somebody.   Why do I think they will continue to bounce up/down but eventually be in the WC mix.  

A couple of lucky smart pickups by guys who get hot in August/September could make that happen.  Only 48 hours to wait and see.

A Sox spokesman who knows JH quite well said today that JH isn't interested in the Sox having a 45% chance of making the PO's. He's mainly concerned about the chances of winning the WS.
