You crack me up.

Scoreboard dude!

Not just today, either.

Career:

.858 overall

.874 vs Yankees (30 Hrs in 499 PAs & 77 RBIs in 115 games, not counting today.)

How do you feel about shopping Devers around? Would you trade him for a top shelf starter?

At some point lefthandedness must be addressed in OF.

Even Duran struggles vs lefties.

Maybe Campbell to the OF?

1B Devers, 2B Story, SS Mayer, 3B Bregman in 2026.

Yoshida/Refsnyder DH

LF Anthony/Refsnyder

CF Campbell/Rafaela

RF Abreu/Rafaela

(Rafaela as back-up SS and 2B)

Duran traded for a pitcher.

Yes. I'd trade anybody for a top shelf SP'er with 3+ years of control.

20 pitches per inning for Bello, but he got the job done.

We've seem to have identified our 2nd and 3rd SP'ers, like it or not. Able to improve upon or not.

1. Crochet

2. Dobbins

3. Bello

4. Buehler (by default)

5. Gio/Houck/Crawford/Sandoval (I doubt Fitts gets another look, the way he's doing at Woo.) Criswell & Uberstine look like the only other possibilities in the system, unless you think Early or Sandlin make a double leap.

The Pirates won't pay Devers' salary.

We'd have to get a third team involved (Philly?) or find another top shelfer on a team that can afford Devers forevers.

Devers (+some cash) & Monegro to PHI

Painter to PIT

Campbell, Fitts, Mullins & Abreu to PIT

Skenes & Bednar to BOS

I assumed Bello was done for the day, when I posted this.

I'm not disagreeing with Cora, though.

We can send $15M  per year.

Having a 2nd ace is the winning ticket to the World Series.

We are fortunate the Cole got hurt.

If the Pirates are agreeable to trading Skenes, the Sox have enough affordable talent to get the trade done.

Throw in another ace we look like a real contender with Bregman returning.

I'd like to extend Chapman. A 2 year deal.

Meanwhile, we can ignore that we have just Crochet, Dobbins, and Bello pitch 21.1 innings while giving up 1 freaking run to the Yankees.

You guys need to keep up with what's happening--or what seems to happening.  I'd like more starters too, but right now I'm borderline ecstatic about the rotation.

As for the lefty bats, I frankly don't give a darn.  The Sox hit lefties better than righties, and today Cora had 7 righty bats in the lineup.  You guys are trying to fix something that right now doesn't need fixing.

On the other hand, I can't resist saying I'm completely disgusted with Devers.  He has done his best to be the savior of the Yankees pitching staff.  His OPS has dropped 100 points since Bregman went on the IL.  He's in the right  position, DH, and he's being paid a king's ransom, so he must deliver at the plate and emphatically is not.

If there's any chance the Sox can get Skenes, they should go for it

Needed a shut down inning. Thought about Chapman with lefties.

Terrific performance by Bello today.

Sure was.  Too bad moonslav didn't notice.  He's been watching the same game and has decided with we need is starters.

Everyone in the front office plus Cora would trade him for frontline starter, but no one would take that deal.

Of course they should.  Meanwhile, why not give a little credit to three of our starters for what they did to the Yankees this weekend.  Sheesh.
