Can't take anything for granted. The White Sox did win one game against Baltimore.  But anything less than a sweep here would be very disappointing.

How'd they do last time they met up?

I'm guessing the SOX will trade Masa during the offseason and will probably eat some of his salary.

The reason being they will want more options at the DH role.

Eating salaries is not unusual for the SOX.

Based on how the RED SOX are playing. I wouldn't be disappointed if they didn't sweep.

Actually, I'd be more surprised than disappointed.

Maybe Seattle would be interested in a .280+ hitter.

I'm hoping the SOX do not re-sign O'Neill.

Can't get him outta' town fast enough for my liking.

He’s got a lot of company

Masa and he both need to go. The backup catcher we got from Toronto....gone.

The geriatric bullpen....outta here

Story stays but likely will be back on the shelf two months into next season.

Valdez. Criswell. Gonzalez.
Nearly the entire pen-especially Jansen.

Would not be surprised if we figure out Wong is a waste of time also.

Wong was ok with a bat. But defensively he is awful.

Guessing is absolutely the right word because that's basically what the Sox FO does most of the time.   Forget Breslow for a moment because we also know Chaim Bloom made a bunch of bad guesses.  And DD made a few of his own, especially on Price and Sale, both of whom went sour in 2019 with a lot of money still owed them.

I'm not sure what you mean by "options at the DH role."  To me the title says it all:  designated hitter.  You want a DH who can also pitch?  If you want a DH who can also play a position, you are actually talking about the other 12 lineup players on the current Sox position.  All 12  can bat and be a DH, but can also play a position in the field.

Don't be difficult MAX; perhaps I should have posted 'choices' instead of 'options.'

If that's the case, my bad.

Based on analytics. Wong is the worst at blocking pitches and near the bottom in framing.

But to escape complete embarrassment, the SOX FO will not trade Wong because he's the only one left from the Betts' trade.

Since the all star break, the Red Sox offence has shown the ability on a daily basis to make average pitchers look like peak Sandy Koufax.
Aside from Duran, the offence has turned into a collective wasteland.
They have gone from one of the best offences in baseball,  to the 2nd worst OPS in MLB in the 2nd half.
