I predict that the Sox will go quietly with their tails between their legs. They don't have much fight in them. This will make it easier for Hang em Chaim to trade guys at the deadline.

The SOX made a little noise, like someone stepping on a Lego.

Btw, there's a few players in the SOX line-up who should be in WOO helping them contend.

Bradley’s not doing anything other than what’s expected. Dalbec was counted on to supply offense and has utterly failed at that.

Bradley was expected to be a negative producer on the team? I don't think so. He's defense is not that good to be kept on this team with his putrid offense. Give someone else a chance

I’ve defended him long enough, he is totally lost. He may make it in another organization, but he’s not going to make it in Boston, and whatever he may do elsewhere doesn’t matter.

He has a lot of company. Too much. With the improvement of the Orioles this year not only is this not a playoff team but they are a LAST PLACE team.

Time to clean house. Trade Bogaerts rather than let him walk at the end of the year and get almost nothing for him. Send Dalbec down along with Duran. Duran needs more seasoning. Try to trade Martinez. DFA Bradley.

Time to clean house.

This team sucks.

I'm still convinced that Cora had a lot to do with Bloom going after JBJ.

Okay, I got my speech back.

Yes, many of us expected a net negative from JBJ. My scalp had scabs after that trade. They are not fully healed.

Who? There are no outfielders at Worcester worth a damn. They’ve already called up Duran. You could put Cordero out there, but then you have Dalbec at first full time since Casas has been out since sometime in May.

I don’t know who’s at Portland, but I’m not aware of any real of prospects there either.

Bradley is not the main problem with this team. He’s not playing full time, and I’m guessing Refsnyder will continue to get a lot of playing time. JBJ is not doing anything much different than expected. Dalbec on the other hand …

Typical of a Sox loss, they were 1/10 with RISP.

Putrid

If you had attended those Tampa games, things may have ended differently. OTOH, I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy to watch a game from that ugly mausoleum.

Trade for a real 1Bman (Cron, Bell, ???), a real CF'er (Kike is out) and platoon Cordero in RF w Refsnyder in RF.

or

Sell, SELL, SELL!

Toronto and Seattle are losing as well at this moment.

At least the Sox lost to a major league team; Blie Jays are losing to the Royals AAA-AA all-star team

At least you have a plan. The posters who just want to DFA everyone with no idea of who would replace them drive me nuts.

I think the SOX should use their farm to grow marijuana. At least they'd get some kind of cash crop out of there.

This was the Rays AAA team.

J.D. and Bogie both blown away on fastballs.

I would only go to watch a game in that dump if I was paid a substantial sum

Bloom was hired, in part, to build up the farm.

This might help, a lot.

We get Nate, Whitlock, Wacha and Hill back starting tomorrow and through the weekend.

We have a couple weeks to prove we should not be sellers. Right now, I'm thinking we should be.

I've not given up, but this is lower than when we were 10 and 20.

This time Crawford had a great start, 6 shutout innings. Then the bottom dropped out in the 7th with three straight hard hit balls off Crawford and not much help from Schreiber. My no doubt unfair view is that Cora should have pulled the trigger sooner on Crawford. Schreiber should have either pitched the 7th or gone in after the first hit.

Interesting too is that in all four games of this series Houck didn't pitch a single inning because he's the closer and lesser folk are supposed to take care of the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings, which is pretty much when 3 of the 4 games were lost.

I saw no boneheaded plays by the Sox tonight, but to me it is painfully clear that the Rays were more professional on the mound, on the basepaths, in the field, and even in the batter's box. I also think they were better managed.

I agree. Two weeks and no more. There is still a possibility we could get into the playoffs.

What I don’t want to see happen is Bloom being late on the sellers trigger. That would leave us not only out of the playoffs but with many of the same bums we now are forced to watch flail around.
