Long winning streaks are rare. One game at a time is the key, and even more important is how/why the Sox are winning: sometimes it's the hitting, sometimes it's the starting pitching, sometimes it's the bullpen, sometimes it's the defense, and sometimes it's all of the above.

Sox pitching is currently ranked 8th in team ERA and 7th in team WHIP. Batting is 5th in runs scored and 7th in OPS.

And thru it all Cora continues his regimen of days off for key players. Raffie sat last night, so Dalbec played 3b, batted 7th, and drove in the only run in the game with an opposite field double that scored Verdugo from 1b.

7 in a row- all one game at a time.

We were 13-8 before this streak, including a 6 game winning streak.

A 7 and 6 game win streak within a 21 game stretch!

We have not lost a series since being swept by the White Sox May 6-8, except for losing 3 of 5 v BAL.

I also think the team's resilience speaks well for Cora.

Yes, and loyalty is another thing some managers go overboard on.

If Cora had given up on Renfroe after his horrific 2021 April or Dalbec for his horrific April and May, I'm not sure anyone would have complained.

Now, we can find examples where he stuck with several players, and it never panned out.

I think Cora balances this area just right.
