Still true that if you combine Shaw's production with Franchy's ( his nominal replacement) you have a perfect 2022 season. No hits, no runs, no walks---NO offense at all. But who cares, it's still early, isn't it

He may not be the dumbest base runner in all of baseball, but he’s definitely in the starting lineup.

He’s pressing at this point. Coors effect would explain long flies falling short; it does not explain inability to make contact when needed.

This is a fairly unique lineup which started with 2 batters carrying a .000 BA & OPS ( Davis did get a hit), 4 other batters with sub.600 OPS. Even Devers is below .800 , not exactly ripping the league a new one. Among all more likely possibilities, it actually could be Fatse's fault.

 

Davis' single, which left Vaz so shocked he froze in place, got him a 2.000 OPS . Later Franchy actually walked so the slump busting continues despite 7 LOBs .

Bradley only made sense as a 4th OF'er covering "rest days" , pinchrunning , late inning defense. His contract is expensive for those skills and I would guess he is about untradeable at that price, with option for'23 pending.
